Editor’s pick: Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Moisturizer

There are many things I love about summer: longer days, wearing sundresses and sandals, and the feel of sun (finally!) on bare skin after a winter under wraps. What I don’t love, however, is how shiny my skin can get. It’s partially the warmer weather, but also my usual winter moisturizer—which is why I recently switched to this one from Kiehl’s. It’s an oil-free salicylic acid formulation, but unlike many similar products, hydrates well and doesn’t sting or leave my skin flaky and irritated. (Rather miraculous.) But that acid is still working—it, along with extracts of cinammon bark and ginger root, helps pores look smaller and leaves me with a nice, matte finish. Bonus: the salicylic acid keeps blemishes at bay too.

I’m so trying this! even on a rainy day like today, my face is already gleaming before noon. now, if only there was a product like this for hair…

Oh I know – I’ve had it in my product stash for quite a while but never used it because I thought it would be too drying. Plus I had a bad experience with some Chanel mattifying products a few years back, which left chalky white stuff on me. This one is the best!

My youngest brother LOVES me when I give him this stuff. I’ve had him addicted to it for his oily problem skin for the last three or four years.
