I’m a sucker for fragrances that smell like any of the following: Coppertone sunscreen, gardenias, salty air, tiaré flowers, frangipanis, fruity tropical drinks, coconuts and/or the ocean.
(Obsessed with the beach much? Well, yes. It’s why I escaped Canada to live in Australia for a few years, after all.)
Since I returned home, I’ve satisfied my beach lust with a collection that includes Bobbi Brown Beach, Bond No. 9 Fire Island and Clarins Sunshine Fragrance, among others.
Now I might just have to add another: Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Tiaré Mimosa. It’s in an olfactory family Guerlain are calling “floral-fresh solar,” and includes notes of citrus, vanilla, pink pepper, and of course, tiaré flower and mimosa. On me, the dry-down is musky and slightly salty—perfect for warm summer nights.
Priced at $56 for 75 mL. Available at Guerlain Boutiques & Institutes in Toronto and Montreal.

I’m so not a beach person and even I am powerless to resist Bobbi Brown’s olfactory take on it!
Yep that’s my #1 too. I need to get my hands on CB I Hate Perfume’s version. Someday…
