Get the look: Kim Kardashian

Post image for Get the look: Kim Kardashian

Aside from the fact that I’m not sure this is appropriate for August in Los Angeles, I’m loving Kim’s take on the feathered hairpiece. There are so many ways this could go very, very wrong… but worn with loose, flowing locks and all-black outfit, the look is definitely more sultry than sweet. Here’s what you need to steal this look:

Hello Lovely Girl!

Being a Los Angelino I think Kim is a bit bonkers to be wearing black in this heat. But, I do agree she looks tres chic. I have always wanted to work a netted headpiece and she is making it whimsical rather than severe with the flowing locks. Smart move. I don’t think this is a look you could just go to the mall and hang out in, but it could be fun for a summer event or a dinner. It adds a bit of something different and a pop of “wow” to your outfit. The black is also good because it doesn’t look like you have a puppet on your head :) I’m not a fan of Ms. Kardashian. I don’t think she is the arbiter of class or style, but this is a nice look on her. The gloss is perfect and understated, the mascara gives the noir effect and the Nars palette is the right coloring for her tone. Well-done!

Hey you! Yes totally agree – this is more “event” hair, and probably would raise fewer eyebrows in NYC than LA!

Not a fan of Miss K either but wow does she ever have great hair. I also like that she isn’t afraid to show off her curvy figure. (being a curvy girl myself !)
