Even though it’s been available since October 19th, I’ve been holding off posting about Chanel‘s Christmas makeup collection because it simply isn’t right to talk about Christmas before Halloween is over. Right?
But now we can gush over these gorgeous photos. The inspiration for this collection was an exquisite golden birdcage (that’s Cage Dorée in French) that was owned by Coco Chanel at her apartment on the Rue Cambon in Paris:
The star product in the line is this shimmering tweed highlighter (Les Tissages Lamés de Chanel, $69):
Here’s the limited-edition four-colour eyeshadow quad (Les 4 Ombres in Bird of Paradise, $61). Not a huge fan of that orangey shade for the eye area though.
This limited-edition black-and-shimmery-charcoal eyeliner duo is more my style (La Ligne de Chanel in Celadon-Lamé, $47):
Loving all the lip options in this collection (sadly, all are limited edition). That gorgeous bright pink lipstick is Aqualumière in Grenada ($33) and the gloss is Aqualumière Gloss in Hirondelle ($31):
Finally, nails! As usual Chanel doesn’t disappoint. This is Le Vernis in Trapèze ($26), also limited edition:
