Like Lily Donaldson, Jessica Stam is another model I’m slightly obsessed with. (It’s her alien-like eyes! I covet them!) Now I think my obsession is taking on a whole new level, thanks to this new campaign for the latest fragrance from Nina Ricci, called Ricci Ricci. I mean, COME ON JESSICA. You already kill me with your inability to take a bad picture, and now you’re wearing cat ears, leather motorcycle gloves and a black strapless corset? I want to BE YOU. At least for Halloween next year. Isn’t this the perfect catwoman costume?
But back to the fragrance. I had high hopes—based, obviously on the ad above, as well as the fact that the packaging is girly without being too saccharine. (I love that there’s no brand name on it. And that bow is a close second to the bouquet topper on Marc Jacob’s Lola, je pense.)
Plus! The scent contains two of my favourite things: RHUBARB (!!!) and tuberose. (Very excited about the rhubarb, if you can’t tell.) There’s also belle de nuit, rose, bergamot, sandalwood and patchouli.
So? The verdict? Me likey. Me likey A LOT. And I usually feel very indifferent to most mainstream fragrances, partially because I’m a bit of an organic snob (check out my ode to Red Flower Guaiac, my all-time favourite). But honestly, I really am loving this one. It’s fresh and it’s floral, but it’s not cloying. I’d definitely wear this for winter evenings.
