Here’s another product to add to my list of “I Wish I Thought Of That” business endeavours: The Model Mirror. It’s the brainchild of Les Tai Tai, a company founded by two London-based Canadian women, Monieka Bos and Terry Chan, who quit their jobs as lawyers to start their business three months ago. (Colour me impressed!)
Each Model Mirror is 10 x 8 cm and contains eight embedded LED lights, making it easy to see—and touch up—your makeup wherever you are. They come complete with a replaceable battery and branded chamois cloth. But the best part—OBVIOUSLY—are the cute slogans and images on the front! My favourites are Excuse Moi:
and Geez Bubby:
Plus there are ten others to choose from. (Note that designs are printed in limited runs with new designs released regularly.)
This would make a PERFECT gift for your girlfriends, mom, sister… who wouldn’t love this?!?
I can’t wait to hear more from this company—Monieka tells me that this is just the first of an entire line of cool products for women.
Priced at $39 each and available at Holt Renfrew stores across Canada.

These are fun! I think I might need one — the skull makes me chuckle.
Oh my bejesus… colour me impressed too. 3 months!? That’s impressive. And they are adorable. I am going to have to blog this too! Or something. Just love them. Well spotted. xx
See? This is one kick-ass business idea! Every female on the planet is going to want one. I really do wish I thought of it.
