Britney Spears brunette, Britney Spears brown hair

First, it was Nicole Richie. Now, it’s Britney Spears who has gone to the dark side.

Take a look at her yesterday at the Mondrian Hotel in L.A., sporting her new brunette ‘do.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Brit’s hair looking healthy, so I can support this choice: brunette is best when you’re dealing with a fried, over-processed situation. It camouflages the damage and makes hair look shinier.

(And I know of what I speak: I went this same route—although without the preceding head-shaving incident—after making the mistake of going solid colour peroxide blonde a few years back… it took my hair about a year to recover, thanks to a darker hue and lots of Redken Extreme.)

I still prefer Britney as a blonde, though.

What do you think? Yay or nay on Brunette Britney?

She always seems to go brunette when she’s 1) between tours, 2) pregnant or 3) on the bad side of bipolar. I like her with darker hair, but blonde suits her best.

I’m on the blonde team too. Dark just emphasizes her sallow skin and actually makes her look far more trailer. Expertly-executed blonde brightens her right up, makes her seem cuter and hotter at the same time, even, dare I say it, when she’s not really made up.

Ah good point – I’ve often noticed that blonde (on the right person) can make you look hotter than you really are. (Examples: Cameron Diaz, Jenny McCarthy, etc.)

She has gone brunette like three times in the past several years, this isn’t exactly “breaking news”.. it’s more like “Oops, she dyed it again”.

Krista, just for you – I’ve added the word “again” to the headline.
