I’m intrigued by the eye makeup TV doc Kate Walsh was sporting last night—it’s a silvery, bronzey mix with a hint of blue for good measure. It kind of reminds me of the ethereal eye makeup we saw at Giorgio Armani’s spring show (although that was in a different colour palette and without so much sparkle).
One other thing to note: it’s hard to see in this small pic, but the colour is concentrated not at the outer edges of the eyelids, but at the inner corners. (The pale silver hue extends right up to the innermost part of the brows.) I first saw the technique on Daria Werbowy in the ads for Lancôme’s pigment-free L.U.C.I. eyeshadows when they launched a few years ago: check out the image here. In a silvery palette, it’s definitely a space-age twist on your usual shadow application!
