Sneak peek: L’Occitane Ma Crème Nature

L'Occitane Ma Crème Nature

In March, L’Occitane will finally jump on the organic bandwagon—but they’re doing it with a twist. Ma Crème Nature is a new “do-it-yourself” moisturizer that you actually have to mix up yourself, and then keep in the fridge for up to six weeks. It’s preservative-free and certified organic by Ecocert.

On the one hand, I love this idea—especially for people with sensitive skin that reacts to common chemical preservatives. (In this regard, the reviews on L’Occitane’s U.S. site, where it’s already available, seem quite promising.) Plus, major props to L’Occitane for trying something new. It was getting boring there in the world of skincare, no?

But I still have to wonder: how many of us could use up an entire jar of face cream in just six weeks? I mean, yes, it’s a hazard of the job that I’ve got my fingers in many, many pots (so to speak), but this seems like a short shelf life. Especially at $46 a pop.

I’ll report back if I can get my hands on a sample. In the meantime, let me know what you think. Will you be adding this cream to your spring beauty shopping list?

Available in March at select L’Occitane boutiques across Canada, or toll-free mail-order (1-877-212-0238).
