Golden Globes ’10: Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson has quite a bit of shimmer and frosting going on here (the eyes, the lips, the cheeks). The golden rule is that you pick one area to focus on, instead of wearing them all at once—so I’m not sure why this doesn’t this bother me. Could be the blonde hair and fair skin, which gives it all an Ice Queen sort of effect.

(Then there’s the issue of bronzer. Too much? Maybe. Plus, it’s not really in the same colour family as those silvery, frosty shades.)

Perhaps what pulls it all together are the eyes. It appears her makeup artist went for a feline effect, lining them all the way around and especially emphasizing the inner corners.
