Here’s Hayden Panettiere yesterday showing off some new red locks. She’s getting grief on the blogosphere already for the shade, which kinda seems to clash with her skin tone. Or is it just the baseball cap and bare face that are making this look bad? I think I prefer her as a blonde, but it’s hard to tell here—I think I’ll reserve judgement until I see her with more makeup and an actual hairstyle.
(It’s worth noting, however, that no matter what your skin tone, bold hair shades are always risky if you’re a dressed-down sort of gal. I mean, I love Christina Hendricks, but I’m not sure how good that hair looks swept up in a ponytail at the gym with no makeup.)
