Pretty much everything Chanel puts out for sale is lust-worthy. (Well, wait a minute… I take that back. At the Chanel outlet store in New Jersey—the only one in North America—I saw a lot of overpriced crap.) Anyway, that was fashion—this is makeup. And the new Vitalumière Éclat compact foundation falls squarely in the must-have camp.
Can’t quite tell from the press release whether it’s a completely new product or just reformulated, but either way, it contains a new, high-tech light-diffusing complex that brings more radiance to the skin. Although I’m not a fan of silicones (I have a fear, which may or may not be irrational, that they’ll clog my pores), they’ve also been added here in order to give it the feel of a cream in a pressed powder format, with no oiliness.
You can use it two ways: with the brush, for a sheer effect, or with the sponge, for more coverage. Bonus: it includes SPF 10.
Available now in six shades ($75 each) at Chanel beauty counters across Canada.

Yes, I think so. I can’t imagine anything would launch in Canada and not the U.S. That never happens!
