Editor’s Pick: Weleda Skin Food

Weleda Skin Food

I twittered about this the other day, but I think it deserves its own post here, too—Weleda’s Skin Food is, in a word, amazing. I had a bad cold last week, and the aftermath of running through an entire box of Kleenex in one day was a war zone in my nasal area. You know, red, flaky, tender skin. This little cream was a godsend and healed me in 24 hours.

I’m a big fan of all things Weleda, by the way (if you haven’t tried their all-natural deodorant spray, you really should invest in that too). I got to know the company for an ELLE Canada piece last year on “wildcrafted” beauty—i.e. companies that use exotic ingredients and in some cases, sustainable harvesting practices. Weleda is all about biodynamic farming—they don’t use any chemicals or pesticides, and even pick their crops at a certain time of day to ensure optimal nutritive benefits for your skin. (Yes, it really IS supposed to make a difference.) Love them!

I’m also lured by the Sea Buckthorn Body Oil — citrussy, I’m told. Mmmmm.

Oh yes the Sea Buckthorn is a really yummy scent! I can’t remember what product I tried that in… possibly a hand cream.

You both should get it. Yes, totally up JF’s alley as per the aforementioned (unmentioned, at least on the label) citrus twist.
