Aveeno Positively Nourishing Hair Care Collection

At Loblaws the other night, I saw a display for Aveeno‘s new hair care line, Positively Nourishing, and realized I hadn’t given it a test drive yet. At the media launch back in November, there was so much talk about it being great for damaged hair (which mine, thankfully, is not—anymore) that I figured it would be way too heavy for my fine, straight hair.

But what the heck—I gave it a shot anyway and was really, really surprised. Normally I need to shampoo every other day, and depending on the products I use, my second-day hair sometimes doesn’t hold up too well. These products (I used the Volumize ones) didn’t weigh my hair down at all, even though it made my locks feel nice and soft. (Sometimes volumizing products can dry you out a bit—I have to admit that my beloved TRESemmé 24 Hour Body does that, so I don’t use it too often.)

Anyway, if you’re in the market for a value-priced shampoo and conditioner, you could do worse than this line.

Priced at $8.99 each and available at food, drug and mass merchandisers across Canada.
