Beauty junkies, hold on to your wallets! This month’s crop of new makeup products is one of the best I’ve seen. Lots of lovely things to give you a pre-summer glow, with a few cult beauty must-haves in the mix. Here’s your shopping list:
Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick
Chanel’s big launch for spring 2010 is this new range of lipsticks. The 30 shades take their names from the life of Ms. Coco herself. I like Orchidee, a soft coral. $38 each, at Chanel counters.
Bobbi Brown Colour Strips Palette
Although I’m usually not a palette girl (most of the time, I hate one of the colours), you honestly can’t go wrong with one of Bobbi’s. This one contains five eyeshadows and three shades of Pot Rouge. Three new colour families are launching for spring; Bonfire, shown here, is the most neutral/wearable. $70 each, at Holt Renfrew.
Estée Lauder Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Collection
Have you noticed? Estée is becoming a real powerhouse when it comes to clever, beautifully-packaged makeup. Example: this Liquid Eyeshadow. The collection also includes a bronzing gel, blush, lip gloss, nail polish, mascara and gloss stick. $20-45 each, at Estée Lauder counters.
Physicians Formula Bamboo Wear
Usually when I see a Physicians Formula product, I think: “Why didn’t I think of that?” This one is no exception: packaged in sustainable materials, it’s a refillable compact that holds either powder or bronzer. Both have an incredibly silky texture and help to absorb oil and blur fine lines. $9.79-$13.99 each, at drugstores.
Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric Second Skin Blush
Giorgio Armani makeup is basically the ultimate when it comes to quality and results. (Just ask any makeup artist.) This blush has 3D technology to melt seamlessly into the skin. $45 each, at Holt Renfrew.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush
Another blush option. (Something about the warmer weather makes me want to wear cream blushes, I guess.) This one contains treatment ingredients to “lift and contour” your cheeks. Don’t think it will have much of an effect—but I’m enjoying it nonetheless. Available in three shades. $30 each, at Elizabeth Arden counters.
Nars Orgasm Illuminator
This was one of my beauty editor’s picks not too long ago, and I still stand by that. Don’t be scared if you’ve never tried an illuminator before—this one is pretty goof-proof if you apply it just to the tops of your cheekbones. $36 each, at Holt Renfrew and Sephora.
Lancôme L’Absolu Crème de Brillance Lip Gloss
Another makeup product with treatment benefits (notice a theme here?). This lip gloss contains the proprietary anti-aging ingredient Pro-Xylane, which helps plump up the lips. Plus, it’s supposed to keep them hydrated for up to 10 hours. Available in eight shades. $33 each, at Lancôme counters.
Guerlain Terracotta Teint d’Ailleurs
How much do I love Guerlain’s annual Terracotta collection? A lot. This is their standout product from this year’s range: it’s a gel-textured tinted moisturizer that boosts your natural tan and gives you SPF 10 protection. Plus, how gorgeous is the packaging? $54 each, at Guerlain counters and stores.

Thanks for this list. I have a Rouge Coco (Mademoiselle might just be my Holy Grail lipstick!) and the NARS Orgasm Illuminator. The NARS Illuminator is fantastic mixed in with NARS Sheer Glow Foundation — gives such a luminous glow and not in a disco ball kind of way.
I’m VERY intrigued by the Armani blush!
Michelle
I will have to try that (mixing the illuminator into a foundation)! forgot about that trick!
sadly I can’t comment on the Armani blush as I didn’t get sent a sample – but yes it sounds amazing! All their products are so good.
Nooo! So much beauty! *clutches my wallet closer*
The Estee Lauder liquid eyeshadow looks awesome. I want to check out the Rouge Coco lipsticks as well.
