Meet Brandi Irwin, the woman who, according to the New York Post, has an annual budget for hair extensions that’s more than most people make in a year.
Let’s break this down: she spends $10,000 three times a year to have the extensions put in, plus colour sessions at $300 a pop every six weeks and $65 twice-weekly blowouts.
All that to look like an ’80s porn star.
OF COURSE her name is Brandi (with an “i”). Geez Brandi, don’t you know that your Before looks better than your After?

…and yet, the After goes so well with her HAND TATTOOS. Gah!
OMG! Didn’t even notice those… gross!
omg. I was just talking about a similar story the other day. A women from the real housewives of Atlanta spends about $400 a day on wigs. She throws it out after one use. Her hair dresser was shocked when he found out that she spends $12,000 a month on wigs. Not as crazy as this women, but really? Brandi looks a lot younger with her hair short.
thats a shame all that money could be put to better use, its a huge waste.
Definitely better before. Also, to Mandy @ ChickAdvisor… I think the wigs are a lot worse. This woman spends $47,000 per year to look bad sure, but by my math the “Housewife” is spending almost $150,000 per year. It’s sad either way.
I just want to know where these people are getting their beauty advice! Whoever is telling them that this stuff is a good idea should be fined!
Totally agree, these are terrible, and so many hollywood tragedies such as LiLo give extensions a bad name-HOWEVER you can have beautiful looking extensions! Lauren Conrad’s are exceptional, check out link;

Unlike poor deluded Brandi !
Had them myself (great lengths) and my fine limp hair was transformed…and no-one could tell
You’re right – Lauren’s ARE nice… and I imagine lots of other celebs have them and we can’t tell. Do you still have yours or did you take them out? How was the condition of your hair afterward?
OOps, meant to post this one too, where Kristin Ess (who does Lauren’s hair) talks about the types of hair extension she uses in the salon.

Great article, thanks! I guess the lesson is – if you must have extensions you really need to go to an expert. And like all things in life, you get what you pay for!
