What do French bulldogs have to do with makeup primer?
Not a whole lot—but that didn’t stop NARS founder François Nars from putting his pup Marcel’s mug in ads for the brand’s newest launch (available in June at NARS counters across Canada).
Called Pro-Prime, the collection includes the Skin Smoothing Face Prep ($36), which can be used under your regular primer or on top of your makeup to create a matte finish. It also claims to smooth out large pores, fine lines and rough spots.
The other product in the range is the Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base ($29), which prevents eyeshadows—even cream ones—from smudging, creasing and caking.
Sounds good, NARS. Real good. (Primers are VERY popular this year, I tell you.)
And yes, my heart melts a bit when I look at Marcel. Apparently they plan to release more photos of him in the next few weeks, along with tips on making your makeup last, on their Facebook page. You’ve got to love a company that does weird stuff like this, right?
