Out now: L’Occitane Paeonia (Peony) Makeup Collection

L'Occitane Paeonia (Peony) Makeup Collection

If you like your makeup au naturel—as well as paraben-free—you’ll want to check out L’Occitane‘s new, limited-edition makeup collection, called Paeonia (Peony).

All the products contain actual peony extracts (which are supposed to have skin-softening benefits); they’ve also limited synthetic pigments and silicones to 2 and 5 percent respectively.

I got press samples of the eyeshadow and all-over illuminating powder, and they smelled—yes, smelled—AMAZING.

However, what I really think is the standout in the collection is something called Peony Tinted Water, which I didn’t get to try but appears to be a natural lip and cheek stain.

Otherwise, I think this line would be great for someone who wants pure products and is into a natural look (nothing is highly pigmented here, so it’s not for your advanced makeup junkie). Oh, and it’s a bit pricey—everything is between $20 and $36.

Available now for a limited time at L’Occitane boutiques in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.
