Aldo nail lacquer nail polish

Quick update on the Aldo polishes I blogged about the other day—samples arrived in the mail shortly thereafter, so I gave ‘em a test drive. And I’ve gotta say: I’m impressed!

The first thing you’ll notice is how über-bright the colours are. But even if you’re usually a pale pink kind of gal, you might surprise yourself at how much you like these shades. (I did.) I’ll probably skip the yellow (Daisy on a Date) and bright blue (Thunderbolt Love), but I’m loving the violet (La Vie Violette, not pictured) and the various pinks (Bright Idea, Pink of Me and Mini Bikini).

The quality is also great. No issues with the brush (sorry, Joe Fresh) and these seem to dry really, really fast. There’s also a clear, fast-drying base/top coat in the collection.

I can confirm that they’re in stores now and are just $6 (not $6.99 as I posted earlier). Definitely a beauty bargain for summer toes (and fingers, if you dare)!

Those look like shades I’d definitely want to try!

I’m normally not big on Aldo products but this nail lacquer is intriguing! Did it chip easily or last a few days?

I definitely recommend it! Chip factor wasn’t too bad – it lasted at least a few days (and my nails chip very easily, mind you). I’d put it on par with OPI. The Joe Fresh ones, unfortunately, chipped a lot faster – like within 24 hrs.
