I know all the cool girls (Alexa Chung, Chloë Sevigny et al) have this cut.
The elements: Chopped just above the shoulders, all one length but with razored, uneven tips and some mad tousling.
Now Scarlett Johansson—known more for putting forth a bombshell beauty and fashion vibe—has succumbed to the trend.
I don't know about this, Scarlett. I just don't know.
Let's take a look at her before and after—and then you tell me what you think:
There's just something about this new cut—which actually isn't so new anymore, is it? As depicted in August Vogue, Gwyneth has already moved on by growing hers out.
Anyway, something about it bothers me. It just looks ratty. (And yes, I'm aware that's the point.) I want to run a comb and a flat iron through it, and then get rid of those too-thin layers at the ends.
Call me boring, but I like the old, sexpot Scarlett—not this attempt to be all "edgy," two years after everyone else had this hairdo.
Do you agree?
