Well folks, I decided it was time to come out of the closet—the BEAUTY closet, of course—and do a little video review for you.
The inspiration: a mailing I just received from Joe Fresh Cosmetics (via their publicist Allie, who I’ve featured here and whose blog you may already be familiar with from me talking it up on here every week).
I was blown away, peoples. Blown. Away. I think I’d only ever tried a couple of things from the line (like their nail polishes) but they sent me pretty much one of everything and WOW—was it ever good. And I mean all of it. Especially when you consider every single thing is under $10. How is that even possible?

Now be kind—I’m a video newbie so I am WELL AWARE that I said “um” about a zillion times and rambled on way too long. Truly, I am.
So if you don’t have time to watch the whole thing I’ll let you in on two of my top two picks (so hard to choose though!)…
This lip stain in Red (which is, as far as I’m concerned, THE perfect red):

i love joe fresh cosmetics too! i’ve tried their tinted lip balm (i have the one called Papaya) and its a nice pink on my lips, and yes, they do smell amazing!
i also have their hot pink blush in Bloom, but it transfers on my cheeks as a nice natural glow
i think i’m going to pick up their lip stain, cheek tint and maybe the liquid liner next time i’m at my local superstore
joe fresh makes grocery shopping more exciting hehehe i hope they launch palettes or value sets some day!

You won’t regret trying the stains, tints or liner. And how funny you ask about palettes – they are indeed launching one in September called the “Five Minute Face Palette.” It will be $20 and has four eye shadows, one cream lipstick, one lip gloss, one blush and one bronzer.
Great video! I ADORE Joe Fresh cosmetics so much. I too love the concealer and make a point to stock up every time I fly back to Toronto to visit family. My other favourites include the liquid eyeliner (black), the cheek tint (in nude or bronze). Their eye shadows are pretty solid as well.
I was privy to some makeup artist feedback when the products first launched and all agreed that they were high quality for a low price-point.

Great to see you come out of the (beauty) closet, lol. Joe Fresh is one Canadian brand that I am proud to include in international swaps. I started with nail polish and am branching out to the lipglosses and maybe the stains
Cool about the swapping! We’re so used to not being able to buy stuff here that you can get in the US or UK… for once the tables are turned and we have a brand of our own to brag about!
You will definitely love the stains… the Sheer Pink in particular is very wearable.

Love, love, love the peacock nail polish (okay, truth be told I like many of the colours, but the peacock is a fave)!
I have a lot of the Joe Fresh cosmetics, I’m a bit of a make-up whore. The sun kissed bronzing powder is absolutely perfect. A nice, healthy glow without looking over done or fake. I’m also a fan of the apple lip stain; it has amazing staying power and yet is easy to come off when removing makeup.
The eye shadows have such an amazing array of colours to choose from that I don’t feel guilty picking up one of each because of the price.
I’ve still to try the foundations and pressed powders, but by all accounts it sounds like I won’t be disappointed!
Peacock nail polish? I’m intrigued…
And yes, totally agree about the bronzer and lip stain in Apple – both are awesome!

i love love love joe fresh cosmetics…. especially the lip stains. not only are the colors gorgeous, but they actually stay on my lips
unfortunately, i have not purchased joe fresh beauty items in ages because every time i go to my local loblaws (north york city centre) the display is not only understocked, it’s dirty and gross. there is product smeared in places it shouldn’t be and there are never any sealed items available. since there are so many other beauty options available to me in stores that actually keep their displays neat, tidy, and stocked, i to those and spend lots of dough there instead
Yikes! That’s not good – I don’t blame you. It’s true that the products themselves can be amazing…. but without proper staff support to clean up the displays, customers will go elsewhere. Hopefully someone from Loblaws is reading!
Yay, I’m glad you like the lip stains! You’ve convinced me to pick up the concealer, brush and/or bronzer and some eyeshadow next time I’m at a grocery store that stocks Joe Fresh. Enabler!

Definitely try the stains if you don’t try anything else! I love that they have really subtle colours, like the Sheer Pink, as well as super-bold like the Red!

My favorite Joe Fresh product is the cheek tints, I have the peach and the Bronze, great for summer.
Also their eyeshadow in chocolate is a amazing, lots of pigment and really pretty.

I have been loving their lightweight foundation. I tend to stick to more higher brands when it comes to face products since it’s very difficult to find my perfect shade, so when I found this – I was beyond happy. The fact that it was so close to my skin shade and at $6, you just can’t go wrong! I can’t tell you how much money I’ve blown on expensive foundations that weren’t my shade. So… this one is a gooder for sure! Saving me some cash!

YIKES! i love joe fresh cosmetics but you do NOT do them justice! You should definitely stick to blogging because visuals of HOW you use makeup do NOT give incentives to use the same products you’re using! TOO much blush lady~!

Love the video and I love all the joe beauty stuff I’ve tried One thing is that I wish there was a website that could really show u all the foundation colors and types of foundation joe brand makes. They run out of product at the store and one never knows what shades there are. I have only tried lightweight and I love it. Any advice? Which foundations have u tried? Thank you
