Around the beauty blogosphere: Blunt bangs, ’20s- and ’30s-inspired makeup and maybe the best hair tool ever

Lanvin 2010 bangs

Considering bangs? Blunt, straight-across ones are the way to go—not only were they on the runway at Lanvin, but they’re all over the (very fashionable) Flare office. Cute staff pics! [Flare]

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this round-up of 1920s and 1930s makeup looks, complete with video how-tos from PixiWoo. It might not be anything you’d be able to leave the house wearing (other then at Halloween), but gosh is it gorgeous—particularly the Marlene Dietrich vid. [Beauty Squared]

Well, well, well—M.A.C have yanked their controversial Rodarte collection. [ChickAdvisor]

I’ve written about this twisty little Goody hair gadget before, and meant to post again about how much I love it, but now I don’t have to—you can just head over to Janine’s to read about why you need it. Even with fine, straight hair like mine, it will hold your bun in place, effortlessly. No bobby pins required! [BeautyGeeks]

Coco got hitched! Check out her gorgeous makeup, hair, dress, bridesmaids, venue—everything! Congrats! [Coco&Lowe]

I love pixiwoo, I’ve watched them for a couple of years and it’s great to have professional tips on Youtube.

Great just when I’m growing out my bangs, they’re back again, lol.

Yep, it’s the beauty circle of life :-) I’m always frustrated with bangs when I do have them… but when they’re gone I miss ‘em.

And yes – I’d be thrilled if I had even a fraction of the makeup artistry skillz of Pixiwoo.
