V-Day approaches! And that may fill you with excitement or dread, depending on your current relationship status. Regardless: you have to admit that it’s a great excuse to partake in a little retail therapy, whether it’s for the one you love or for your sassy single self.
Now there’s something REALLY cool to help you shop. The clever folks at Shoppers Drug Mart just launched their Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, which is filled to the brim with beauty editor-approved gift ideas for her AND him. I’m talking fragrances, I’m talking candy, I’m even talking gift cards (did you know Shoppers Drug Mart sells ones for Winners, La Senza and Chapters, to name a few?).
Even better: you can use this Gift Guide tool to create a wish list for yourself and send it to your significant other so he/she knows what to buy you. (That means: no more cheesy Valentine’s Day gifts!) You can also use it to create shopping lists for the people you want to treat.
Now, you know I’m always gonna recommend beauty gifts—who doesn’t love ‘em, I ask you?—so here are just a few of my picks from the guide…

Givenchy Play or Play Intense for Him ($83-102; includes a FREE set of Givenchy speakers):

I don’t have a Valentine this year, but that won’t stop me from splurging on myself! Shoppers is a great place to grab a lip gloss pick-me-up (something I tend to do when I’m feelin’ blue) or a funky new eyeshadow. Companies like Rimmel, Gosh, and Quo (among others) offer VERY affordable options in funky shades, so if you decide you don’t like that bright yellow eyeshadow you haven’t just thrown $30 down the drain
BTW, the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss is great! Super glossy, not sticky, and the plumping power is pretty good. And it’s “thicker” if that makes any sense, so it stays on a while.
I’m thinkin’ that Perfect Man is something I DEFINITELY need to pick up… hmm …
I agree – much love for Shoppers and not just because this was a sponsored post! They are like the female Canadian Tire… you can spend hours in there.
Female Canadian Tire — LOVE IT!! LOL!! Plus, to your friends and family, it sounds like you’re making home improvements instead of buying yet another lip gloss.
