The look:
Strong, shimmering eyes.
The inspiration:
“The inspiration is always the dress. I wanted to create a modern interpretation of Brigitte Bardot for Kate’s makeup. I always think less is more and wanted to give her a strong eye without being overwhelming. I knew I wanted to do something with her eyes—it’s my favorite thing to highlight on Kate. I used shadow to accentuate the crease of her eyelid and liner right above the lash line. It’s very simple, but makes the eyes pop. Her skin looked so good after using the primer, I used very little foundation.”—makeup artist Leslie Lopez for Almay.
