How-to: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s pearl-studded mani at the Oscars

The look:

The how-to:

1. Apply a base coat.

2. Apply one coat of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish in Mudslide ($7.99; buy it online here).

3. Apply two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish in Sheer Ecstasy ($7.99; buy it online here).

4. While nails are still wet, use a jewellery picker-upper to place a pearl and a gold metallic bead to the bottom centre of each nail. (Find the pearls and beads at craft stores.) Put the pearl just above each cuticle, and the small gold circle right above it.

5. Finish with a sheer top coat to help keep the beads in place.
