Q: I'm only 20 years old, but my cheeks are already sagging. I think this was probably due to a dramatic weight loss when I got sick. Now I look much older than my age. Will my skin ever return to normal? If not, is there any remedy for this? — Hannah
A: Hannah, if there is significant weight loss, the skin can sag, just like letting the air out of a balloon.
The good news is that it can improve. The skin can remodel itself, just like after pregnancy.
It can take time, so be patient. I would wait at least six months or more.
