It's getting to that time of year now, when the party invitations start rolling in and those of us with limited nail-painting skillz start to panic. Everyone looks at your nails now, I've noticed. While I can get away with a boring pale pink DIY job on a regular day, I'm really drawn to the idea of nail wraps when I need to dress to impress.
And I guarantee you that Revlon's new collab with Marchesa, a limited-edition collection of eight different 3D Jewel Appliqués, will impress indeed. Inspired by Marchesa's opulent runway gowns, they feature intricate prints, rich colours and 3D beads and metallics—I've NEVER seen anything like this in a nail sticker. Let's take a look at each design...
Crown Jewels (over Revlon Nail Enamel in Knockout):
Silk Rosette (over Revlon Nail Enamel in Rich):
Beaded Couture (over Revlon Nail Enamel in Knockout):
Amazing, right? In each package you get 18 strips in a variety of sizes, plus a mini file, buffer and cuticle stick. I think the sizing runs a bit on the petite side (Anita wishes there were more larger strips)... but the good news is that even after you've done one round of 10, you can still go back and do individual accent nails with the remaining ones. These work really well for accent nails.
You can put them on bare nails or over top coats or coloured polish, depending on the look you're after. The strips are UV-cured, so they're built to last without drying out, staining your nails or the little beads falling off. Expect about a week of wear—for $8.95 per pack, that's not a bad investment for party season!
