Maybe—no, definitely—I've been looking at too many red carpet close-ups, because I thought this looked like a Lauren Andersen makeup job, and I was right! The Avon celebrity makeup artist (who I interviewed last year) gave Allison Williams super-sexy smoky eyes and rosy lips with ever-so-slightly dewy skin.

Here's the zoom in:

Isn't she striking?

Lauren started by applying Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Illuminating Foundation (the same foundation Jessica Chastain wore at the Golden Globes)

Next, she dusted on another of her favourite products (and mine!), Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light.

The hint of flush on the apples of Allison's cheeks is Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Rose Petal. (Reese Witherspoon wore it to the Globes in Peach Whisper.)

Allison's brows were groomed with Votre Vu Arche de Triumphe Brow Definer, a tinted brow wax that Lauren uses all the time.

Next, she smoked out Allison's blue eyes with Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Urban Skyline.

Next, she used Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner in Blackest Black to line the waterlines, all the way around.

And coated the lashes with Avon Mega Effects Mascara, which is their new mascara with a spiky flat brush.

Finally, Lauren used Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Ripe Rose to get the rosy pink colour on Allison's lips.

Here's how it turned out, plus a look at her hair:

Hairstylist Anthony Campbell wanted to keep her hair simple and clean, to go with the lines of the Alexander McQueen dress.

He applied Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier to her damp hair before blowing it out with a large flat brush to make it pin-straight.

Once her hair was completely dry, he created a deep side part and then ran a flat iron through the hair, working section by section and finishing off each piece with a light spray of Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray.

He let her hair cool and then to finish, added a few drops of Wella Professionals Oil Reflections to add shine without making it look greasy.
