Another edition of my editor's picks has arrived! (See here if you missed the last one.) I love all of this week's things so much! Have a watch to get the scoop on a gorgeous fragrance; an awesome-smelling (but lightweight) hair serum; a clever eye-area concealer palette; a magical oil that regulates oil; and finally, my current favourite lip balm with SPF for summer.
I'm still figuring out my lighting situation. This time I used the new Special Lights but I feel like they're making my face look so shiny?! And my bangs have gone greasy because I over-manipulated them in the bang tutorial I shot just before. Ah well... beauty editor problems, what are you gonna do?
In case you can't watch right now, here's the speed-round of what I just talked about:
Nest Midnight Fleur Eau de Parfum Spray: Simply gorgeous scent to smell (and to look at). The notes of patchouli, black amber, vanilla, jasmine, rhubarb and blue cyclamen sound like they'd be heavy and cloying, but they're not. This is super-sexy but still fresh. At Sephora—and Canadians, you can also find this at Murale.
Fekkai PrX Reparatives Mending Elixir: An argan oil-infused hair-repairing serum that I've been using to smooth my ends. I'm not a regular hair serum user, because I usually find them way too grease-making, but this is amazingly lightweight and it smells like yummy vanilla. At Drugstore.com and Shoppers Drug Mart.
Lancôme Le Correcteur Pro Professional Concealer Palette: This palette will end any under-eye concealer-creasing situation. I love that it features two different shades of concealer plus a powder to set. At lancome.com and lancome.ca.
Odacité Jojoba Lavender Serum Concentrate: Just fell in love with this line's targeted skin remedies featuring freshly-made, super-concentrated essential oils. All this has in it is jojoba, lavender and vitamin E—no preservatives or chemicals—and I swear, it does something magical to regulate oil production. (Though you might not believe me from watching my shiny face in that video, haha! You'll have to trust me!) At The Detox Market in Canada and the USA.
Dior Addict Lip Glow: Not new, but in my opinion the very best of the colour-adjusting lip products that develop a tint depending on your natural lip tone. It's a damn fine moisturizing lip balm with SPF 10 protection for summer. At Sephora.
Would love to hear what you think if you've tried any of this stuff!
