Out of all the actresses in Hollywood right now, don't you feel like Anna Faris is the one you could be friends with? I mean, who knows her real personality, but I find her so completely likeable on film and in interviews (like the video here).
I've also got to respect that she owns her plastic surgery—the boob job, at least. She told The New Yorker it "wasn’t a career thing—it was a divorce thing." (This was in 2007, after her split with Ben Indra.) Anna also admitted to getting lip injections for her role in 'The House Bunny' in 2008.
Has she kept them up—or made any other adjustments above the neck? Loads of you have remarked on how "different" Anna looks now. I present you her beauty evolution:
Anna in 2001
First up, the MTV Movie Awards in 2001, when Anna was 24.
Wait—what? Anna was brunette? Yep, and it gives her a totally different vibe. This brown hair is still much darker than her natural "mouse" colour. I prefer the blonde.
Also from 2001 is this pic from the Juicy Couture suite at the Chateau Marmont.
OMG. First of all, Juicy Couture. Remember when that was a thing? Second, did you spot Tori Spelling? Ah... the early 2000s.
Anna in 2002
By 2002, at the premiere of The Hot Chick, Anna had lightened her hair to super-blonde.
Kind of generic, but better. Note the bleached-blonde eyebrows, too. Thank goodness people aren't doing that anymore. (Well, except for Pat McGrath.)
Anna in 2003
Next up is the Scary Movie 3 premiere in 2003.
Here, you can kind of recognize Anna... but she doesn't look the same as the Anna we know today. I think it's the eyes, nose and mouth. She was 26 here.
Anna in 2006
I still don't think anything had changed yet at the Scary Movie 4 premiere in 2006.
She looks really natural here, like a super-pretty regular girl instead of a celebrity.
Anna in 2007
You'll notice how her brows got darker by 2007, at the GQ Men of the Year celebration.
Are her lips perhaps getting bigger as well? This would be about the time that she was filming The House Bunny, so probably.
Anna in 2008
Here's Anna at a party for The House Bunny in 2008.
See how there's a progression with better and better beauty styling? Better hair, better makeup... but I'm wondering if her eyes are a little different here. In this and the later photos, they seem more wide-open.
Anna in 2009
Next is the premiere of Super Blonde in 2009, when Anna was 32.
Okay, now she's officially a star—the star power is just radiating from this picture. Could be the makeup, but her eyes look much more awake compared to the earlier pics. And it does seem like her nose is a bit more refined now. Also, she's continued with the lip injections.
Anna in 2010
I think in this next photo, from the Courage In Journalism Awards in 2010, the new nose is even more evident.
It's subtle, and it still fits her face, but wow—does it ever make a difference, huh? Like I've said before, it's the nose that is the number one refinement actors make. Pretty amazing how a subtle bit of shaping can transform a face.
Anna in 2011
This shot is from the What's Your Number? premiere in 2011.
Same, same, and still looking good, in my opinion. Her lips seem to have settled down, or maybe she's just in between injection appointments.
Anna in 2012
Here's Anna at the 2012 Academy Awards.
I feel like she might've started the cheek filler by this stage (she was 35 here). And you can see there's a tightness starting to form around her mouth, probably from Botox?
Anna in 2013
The fillers are even more evident at the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 panel, at Comic-Con in 2013.
Eeks, a little heavy-handed there, doc. Maybe they looked okay when she wasn't smiling, but here, her cheeks look unnatural and stick out from her face. Better to just have a flat face, no?
Anna in 2014
Now we're at the 2014 Grammys.
This was the one that made more than a few of us gasp, "What has she done?!" For the record, I still think Anna is gorge—even here—but there IS something bizarre happening to her smile. It looks like she can't make expressions properly. My guess is Botox around the mouth to "lift" the corners. Kind of a problem when your job is acting. Message to Anna: ease up a bit, girl!
Update: Anna in 2015
I love the softer hair, and you can see that she hasn't Botoxed away the creases around her eyes. Looking good, Anna!
Update: Anna in 2016
It looks like she has some natural creasing between the brows, and on her forehead—no Botox!
Even though that 2013 pic is a bit surprising, I still don't get why Anna gets so much blowback for her surgical "self-improvements". I respect that she's openly admitted to implants and injections, which most other celebs would deny. (And hey, everyone in Hollywood gets a nose job.) I think hers is very, very well done, and though she was pretty without it, it definitely did enhance her beauty.
As for the injectables, yep, they've made her face a bit frozen at times—but thankfully, are only temporary. Let me know what you think!
