Amanda Seyfried isn't really one to mix it up on the red carpet. She usually sticks to feminine wardrobe choices, paired with softly smoky eyes and pink lips and cheeks, in her signature cool-toned palette.
Why mess with perfection, though? As you can see here—at the Toronto premiere of 'While We're Young'—what she's doing sure is working for her.
Makeup artist Lauren Andersen (who I interviewed last year) created this pretty look that features lush lashes, flushed cheeks and a cool hit of shimmery pink on the lips.
Yep. Shimmer lip texture! It's baack. And it looks so good.
Side note: Don't you kinda love it that Amanda's got a few little lines on her forehead and is all "what of it?" She's 28; her skin is fair and delicate... it's normal! I love that she hasn't rushed out to Botox herself yet.
But back to the makeup. I don't have an exact breakdown for this look, but if I could venture a guess, I think it's all Clé de Peau Beauté, since Amanda is their global spokeperson.
Specifically, my guess on the lip colour is Clé de Peau Extra Rich Lipstick in 204 Sk. A great cool-toned pink with that little touch of shimmer. But elegant shimmer.
Also note how the shimmer is subtly echoed on the lids, probably using the Fall 2014 Eye Color Quad in 306 Silver Eclipse.
Everything is blended, blended blended—no harsh lines. With tons of mascara and fairly bold pink cheeks, this is a gorgeous makeup look for fair complexions.
Now you've gotta see the hair:
“I was inspired by her fun, flirty dress," says hairstylist Jenny Cho. "I decided to do a French twist with a knot into a ponytail, and I think it complemented the dress perfectly."
Here's the side view:
To recreate this look, part your hair on one side and spray dry shampoo (Jenny used Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Weightless Dry Shampoo) at the roots. Smooth a lightweight hair oil (like Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusions Argan Styling Oil) on the ends.
French braid each side of the hair until you meet both braids at the back of the head. After you finish both braids at the nape of the neck, make two knots with the hair you did not braid. Secure a ponytail holder at the base of the knots and add bobby pins throughout to secure the style. Finish with a light mist of hairspray to hold.
