Rita Ora is a relative red carpet newcomer, but already the singer has got her very first beauty collab—with London-based Rimmel. I'm impressed!
While the capsule collection also includes her favourite shades of the Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balms (which I'll get to in a separate review), the star is really the nail polish. As you can see, there are six new shades of the 60 Seconds Nail Polish, each adorned with a cute little Rita stamp. (More shades were released in the UK, by the way, but Canada is just getting the most popular ones.)
Now. I'm no nail reviewer—I lack the patience, fine motor skills and nail surface area—but I felt compelled to tell you about how much I've been enjoying this polish. Specifically the hot pink shade, called Don't Be Shy:
In fact, it's what I wore pretty much the entire month of August, because I was at the beach and needed something fast and easy to get the job done.
Like the name says, it dries in only a minute, and you can totally get away with a single coat. If you want to do two, then I'd give it maybe five minutes to dry, just to be sure.
The hot pink is also my favourite colour of the range—I'm not into blues or purples so much, and with my short nails, I find brights look a lot better than pastels. Here's the pic... do not judge my application because literally, this took me 30 seconds (which is the whole point, you paint and go).
If you're curious about how the other five shades measure up, BeautyGeeks has a full review—although we're in total agreement, Don't Be Shy is indeed the winning shade! Not a bad beauty buy at all for just $3.99.
