Caudalie Parfum Divine De Caudalie

Parfum Divin de Caudalie

When Caudalie introduced its Divine Oil last year, I was torn. It smelled SO good—way better than fellow French cult dry oil Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. But with a formula based on grapeseed, sesame and sunflower oils, I just couldn't bring myself to use it. I might be okay with tiny amounts of unsaturated oils on my face, but using them on large surface areas? I'm not so into it. (And this post explains why.)

But now the brand has come out with Parfum Divin de Caudalie, and I'm thrilled. It's the same scent as the Divine Oil, except in fragrance format, so I can just mist it on instead of dousing myself in oil.

And MAN, is it ever a to-die-for fragrance. Those of you who aren't into "perfumey" smells will especially love it, as it's more of a skin scent, and a little spa-like, too, without being overtly floral or fruity.

I'll give you the list of notes, but even they can't accurately describe it: Bulgarian rose absolute, Moroccan rose essence, Virginia cedar, vanilla, grapefruit, white musk and spicy pink pepper.

It doesn't really smell like roses or vanilla, though. I would say it's a fresh, slightly sweet, woodsy/soapy musk. And it's probably one of the best skin scents of all the ones I've tried (including Clean Skin, Voyage d'Hermès and Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, to name a few). Trust me, it is THAT good.

Parfum Divin de Caudalie

Pretty packaging, and an even prettier scent inside.

I also love that it comes in a mirrored bottle with a beechwood stopper, which feels a little more organic, décor-wise, versus some flashy fragrance packaging.

The bottom line: I can't recommend this enough, and I predict it's the kind of scent that'll have people asking you what you're wearing. Tried it yet?
