Hi guys! Remember me?

I love peeking into others' makeup collections. (Wouldn't you just die to see Michelle's? Michelle says: "Um, bag? My home is one giant makeup bag.")

To mark my return as a contributor to Beauty Editor—you might remember me from my Viviscal trial last year, yay vitamins!—I thought I'd share the contents of MY makeup bag with you today.

My current makeup rotation.

These well-loved items have (or will be) repurchased many, many times. Here's the lowdown on each one, and why I think it's a must-have.

Dior Nail Glow

Dior Nail Glow

Dior Nail Glow

After reading Michelle's rave review, I knew I needed Dior Nail Glow in my life. I love how "done" my nails look in one swipe: shiny, healthy and chip-free. It's like no-makeup makeup for your nails! I love that it gives you instant (and long-lasting) glam without having to worry about a perfect application.

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer in NW35

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer

My dark circles aren't so much dark as they make me look like I've tanned just around my eye sockets. When I'm not channeling Brody Dalle, I pat the MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer in NW35 underneath my eyes to even out my skin tone. I leave my lids alone and pretend it's just Urban Decay Buck eyeshadow smudged on there.

Laura Mercier Secret Finish Mattifying Gel

If I could only take one product on a deserted island, it would be Laura Mercier Secret Finish Mattifying Gel, an incredible shine-eliminating product. One tiny dab and the grease is gone—it is that amazing. Read my review of this HG gem here!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil in Dark Brown

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil

You can't beat the über-fine tip of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil for drawing on realistic-looking hairs. My monthly overzealous tweezing sessions have me reaching for this (in Dark Brown) to fill in the spots all year long. A few swipes of the spoolie at the other end helps erase any obvious marks and smooths my unruly brow hairs into submission.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow and MAC 263 Small Angle Brush

Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow

Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow

Since raccoon eyes are only cute on raccoons, I require my liner to last through a full workday followed by a sweaty workout and the occasional spontaneous dip in the ocean (I live in Halifax, y'all). I mainly use Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow—an amazingly black, waterproof cream shadow—to tightline with my trusty MAC 263 Small Angle Brush. Occasionally, I'll buff a fingerprint amount over my lids when I'm feeling fancy.

L'Oréal Infallible The Super Slim 12H Eyeliner

L'Oreal Infallible Super Slim 12H Eyeliner

L'Oréal Infallible The Super Slim 12H Eyeliner

Yes, another eyeliner (I promise I don't apply both this and the MUFE Aqua Black in the same day). The L'Oréal Infallible The Super Slim 12H Eyeliner is fast and easy to use on the go. The thin felt tip is great for a quick flick, a mod cat eye, or even dramatic Cleopatra-esque wings. I'm a huge fan!

Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush in Flushed

Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush in Flushed

Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush in Flushed

Cream blushes look the most natural IMO, and the Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush in Flushed is no exception. This silky texture glides on skin and dries to a slightly powdery finish, scoring points for both application and longevity. A quick stippling over my cheekbones makes me look healthy and awake, even at 6am in the dead of winter. Also check out Michelle's review of these blushes.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

The Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler is the reason there's no mascara in my bag. This cult curler works so well at opening up my eyes that I can be lazy in my search for the ultimate mascara (read: jet-black, super-volumizing, clump-defying, and flake-free—let me know if you've found it!). PS: I've owned this curler since 2007 and it's never once snagged my lashes while producing a perfect swoop.

MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Korean Candy

MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Korean Candy

I'm a firm believer that coral lips work on everyone. As the name implies, MAC's Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Korean Candy imparts a gorgeous, candy-like sheen at first swipe. I love that it can be a subtle orangey-pink flush or a vibrant statement lip if you layer it on. I find the formula moisturizing and easy to apply without a mirror—a makeup-wearing commuter's dream!

Essie Nail Polish in Wicked

Essie Nail Polish in Wicked

Essie Nail Polish in Wicked

I love a vampy nail, and Essie Nail Polish in Wicked is a bordeaux that gives my toes a chic, clean finish. It's not as harsh as a black, but it both offsets a tan and looks good with the undead shade that my skin will quickly fade to in winter.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Warm Honey

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Warm Honey

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Warm Honey

I'm still on the hunt for an HG foundation, but for now, the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick provides good coverage at an excellent shade-match for my end-of-summer tan (I wear the shade Warm Honey). I'm still looking for something that provides higher coverage for my neverending hyperpigmentation issues, but I appreciate the portable packaging of this foundation and its creamy formula. Note: You may need to touch this up every three to four hours, as it can start to crease a bit in the smile lines.
