Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm

Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm

Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm, $7

"My lips get horribly dry and sore, especially in the winter; it's actually quite painful. I used to use Carmex, which cleared it up, but this Lush balm is less chemical-y and tastes incredible!"

Hollister So Cal Cologne

Hollister So Cal Cologne

Hollister So Cal Cologne, $69

"This is without a doubt my signature scent. A bottle lasts me a whole year, so I usually get a refresher around Christmas time. It's fresh and iconic, plus people always recognize it."

Where to buy: Hollister, Amazon.com

Superdrug Colour Effects in Strawberry Blonde

Superdrug Colour Effects in Strawberry Blonde

Superdrug Colour Effects in Strawberry Blonde, £1.49

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo, $56

"This is my number one product and it's a game-changer for hair. It’s what I’d want as a present for myself and for you, too! It has transformed my hair from limp and worn-out to looking like I’ve had a blowout (actual compliment I received). The cleansing oil is meant to remove build-up from other products, not as a replacement shampoo. But the change is noticeable. I love this product because it has a wonderful smell, is completely paraben- and silicone-free, and it delivers so much volume to the hair that I was bouncing all over the place after the first use. There’s no foaming action, but you won’t need a lot to thoroughly wash your hair. And, the feel-good shine lasts the next day as well."

Where to buy: Shu UemuraBirchbox, Holt Renfrew

Dior Airflash Spray Foundation

Dior Airflash Spray Foundation

Dior Airflash Spray Foundation, $62

"I have a fierce love for this product. At first I was skeptical about a spray foundation, but the lightweight application makes you look flawless and airbrushed (in a good way). The foundation is smooth and never feels greasy, and it matches your skin tone so naturally, allowing bronzer or blush to really stand out. It’s a special occasion kind of foundation for me, and because it is pricier than other foundations, it’s definitely on my wishlist."

Where to buy: Sephora, NordstromHudson's Bay, Neiman MarcusLord & Taylor, Selfridges, Amazon.com, Macy's, Bloomingdale's

Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick

Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick

Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick, $28

"This delightful Canadian company is based in Toronto, with a focus on lip care and lip colour products. This lipstick is moisturizing, with all-natural ingredients like shea butter and vitamins C and E. It's thick, creamy and glides on smoothly with a matte finish. I love the range of deep reds and burgundies, but my personal favourite (and the one I think Santa would approve of) is Cassis, an aubergine."

Where to buy: Sephora

Rikki's Beauty Picks

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal, $46

"I LOVE a beautiful champagne-hued sparkle. This highlighter caught my eye in Sephora a few months ago, and it's just the most BEAUTIFUL shade. Not too sparkly, not too subtle... I just haven't snatched it up yet because of its price point. In the whirlwind of holiday shopping, I might end up gifting it to myself. ;)"

Where to buy: Sephora, ULTA BeautyLord & Taylor

NARS Audacious Lipstick

NARS Audacious Lipstick

NARS Audacious Lipstick, $37

"I've really been trying to experiment with lip colour this past year, and I've noticed some of the Audacious lipstick shades are SO unique (and the swatches all over the net make them look SUPER creamy and luxe). I have my eye on three shades: Anna, a smokey rose; Angela, a bright pinky-purple; and Fanny, a rich berry."

Shu Uemura Shupette Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil

Shu Uemura Shupette Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil, $98

"Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld teamed up with one of my favourite beauty brands, Shu Uemura, to create the ultimate cleansing oil. Sure, Karl’s kitty Choupette is equally cute and terrifying on the bottle, but the formula contains eight skin benefits, effortlessly removes makeup and leaves your face hydrated. A total winter staple."

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Bath Jelly

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Bath Jelly

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Bath Jelly, $12

"I currently own The Body Shop’s Glazed Apple Shower Gel and Hand Cream, and now I’m infatuated with the refreshing seasonal scent. The only way I can describe the smell is: imagine running through a green apple orchard in Southern California, and then tripping and falling into a swirl of sugar and Christmas cheer. Yes, it's THAT good."

Michelle's Beauty Picks

Michelle Villett

Michelle Villett

Hey, y'all, it's me again! I'm the founder of this website (but you knew that), and when it comes to beauty products, I'm pretty spoiled already. (Been doing this beauty editing thing for nearly 10 years now, so.) I do have my favourites, though, and here's what's on my mind for this holiday season...

RMS Beauty Glowing Gift Set

RMS Beauty Glowing Gift Set

RMS Beauty Glowing Gift Set, $120

"I met founder Rose-Marie Swift the other day (she's kind of my idol!), and she re-ignited my interest in trying more from this healthy, safe makeup line. There are a couple different versions of this gift set; on the RMS site, you can choose the shades you want in Un Cover-Up, Lip2Cheek and Cream Eye Polish (plus you get Living Luminizer). The Anthropologie one includes Cream Eye Polish in Magnetic, Lip2Cheek in Demure, Lipshine in Sublime and Living Luminizer."

Where to buy: Anthropologie, RMS Beauty

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Soothing Gel

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Soothing Gel

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Soothing Gel, $65

"Speaking of RMS Beauty, the skincare brand that Rose-Marie recommends to all the models she works with is the super-pure, 100 percent natural Dr. Alkaitis. This wonder product is said to calm sensitive skin and is ideal for acne, eczema, rosacea; it also makes a great moisturizer for oily skin. I want some, badly."

Where to buy: Spirit Beauty Lounge, Sears, Cult BeautyAmazon.com

Tata Harper Aromatic Irritability Treatment

Tata Harper Aromatic Irritability Treatment

Tata Harper Aromatic Irritability Treatment, $65

"I recently got obsessed with Tata's aromatherapy Stress Treatment, and now I figure I should probably have this one, since hey—everyone can be irritable sometimes. It's a jojoba base with chamomile, bergamot and patchouli, and can be worn as perfume."

Where to buy: NordstromSpirit Beauty Lounge, Neiman Marcus, Murale, Bergdorf GoodmanAmazon.com

Baby Quasar MD Plus

Baby Quasar MD Plus

Baby Quasar MD Plus, $795

"Okay, so this is kind of a fantasy purchase. But it is my favourite skin tool by far—I think the red LED light is great for collagen production and healing, and it helps give your skin a really nice glow. This wavelength of light is actually very beneficial to the body, and I find the treatments very relaxing and warming. There is a smaller version, but I like the MD Plus because you can cover more surface area of your face for a faster treatment time. Michelle Phan uses this, too!"

Where to buy: Skinstore, Amazon.ca, Dermstore, Amazon.com

Castle You're a Total Hottie Embroidery

Castle You're a Total Hottie Embroidery

Castle You're a Total Hottie Embroidery, A$480
