Your weekly beauty inspiration.

Outside of the regular red carpet reports, there are sooo many great celebrity hair and makeup looks that I'd love for us talk about—so I thought it might be fun to start a new regular feature! I'm going to be rounding up the best celebrity beauty looks each week, just in time for your weekend hair and makeup inspiration. (Let me know what you think in the comments!)

To kick things off, we've got Jamie Chung's soft waves and berry lips, Kerry Washington's colour-blocked makeup and much, much more!

These were the best celebrity beauty looks this week:

Jamie Chung

Perfect, right? Jamie takes top spot for her soft, loose, sombré'd waves with glossy berry lips. I love her skin texture as well (perfected but neither dewy nor matte), her full brows and the fact that you can see a few freckles!

Amanda Seyfried

Thinking 'bout playing up both lips and eyes? Amanda shows us how it's done. The black pencil through her waterlines is key—but it's all softly blended out, with some taupe on the lids for added definition. On her lips, not a red but a softer strawberry, with a slightly dewy texture. With so much happening on the face, best to keep the hair simple and straight.

Kerry Washington

Purple (not plummy) eyeshadow is a risk in itself, and most of us would stop there. Not Kerry. She went ahead and paired it with stained hot pink lips, and you know what? It works! Especially since her side-parted waves are quite conservative. I'd just lose the false lashes and choose an ashier brow pencil.

Kristin Kreuk

Obsessed! This fluoro pink lipstick is so mesmerizing with Kristin's green eyes, which then have brown flecks that also tie in with her hair and brows. I could stare at this for days. I appreciate that she kept the thick black liner to the upper lash lines only, and that she didn't go crazy with lashes or blush. (Her cheeks really look like they're flushing from within!)

Emily Blunt

Normally, I prefer Emily as a brunette, but this dark blonde hair colour paired with cheery tomato-red lips is making me reconsider. Lately, I've felt like her looks were way too overdone (for example), but not this time, with the fresh skin, natural lashes and air-dried hair texture. Emily is definitely a less-is-more person when it comes to beauty. Her lip colour is likely new Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Poppy Pop. (Side note: Does she have a case of the Botox-induced wonk eye? Say it ain't so, Em!)

Cara Delevingne

I know we're all fatigued by Cara's brows, but I urge you to appreciate her hair here. It reminds me of that little-girl hair texture—like when it's been braided damp and then you take it out? So Boho and pretty. But yeah, I'd love to see the brows a bit less bold, and I'm not sure the dark eyeshadow works here. The defined lashes are fab, though.

Christian Serratos

And now for the completely opposite vibe. Christian is all sleek, shiny hair and sophisto makeup—and a rare case of a light, matte lip actually working well. (It doesn't look heavy or chalky, for once.)

Rachel Weisz

Rachel is just flawlessly styled. I mean, she has perfect skin to start with, and great brows, but her makeup and hair really enhance her assets without feeling contrived. I'm in love with her creamy pinky-coral lipstick, lush upper lashes, fresh complexion and fluffy, retro-inspired hair. This couldn't be better! Rachel's lipstick is Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge in 246 Rose Comtesse.

Adelaide Kane

Fun! Adelaide is already drop-dead gorge, so must be a makeup artist's dream to play with. Rose gold lids with matte pale pink lips serve to play up the contrast between her dark hair and pale skin SO well. As you know, I don't love falsies, but these ones at the outer edges feel kinda flirty and right. The shadows are from the Viseart palette (I think Sultry Muse?) and the lips are MAC Boldly Bare Lip Pencil.

Padma Lakshmi

Okay, so Padma's cheeks have probably seen their share of Restylane. I still love that she's pulling off the bold blush look, which almost always goes wrong on other people! It's also interesting how the blush is peachy but the lips are a cooler pink. All against dewy post-facial skin and off-the-face waves.

Léa Seydoux

Here's how beauty chameleon Léa works her Chopard jewellery—with brushed-up brows, a simple updo and barely any makeup. I always find her so refreshing against the usual Hollywood types, who err on the side of too much everything.

Victoria Justice

Victoria might've gone a touch overboard with the lashes, but that's the only "fault" I can find with this simple, pretty look. She looks amazing with her hair up, and the pink lips, dark lashes/liner and arched brows all define her delicate features. Very timeless.

Emma Stone

What I find compelling about this Emma look is the matchiness of her red hair to the eyeshadow, blush and lip gloss colours. (The blush might be a tad heavy, but oh well.) The tone on tone effect is very harmonizing, and I think more modern/interesting than the predictable clean eye, pink cheeks, red lips. Am I right?

Rooney Mara

So good to see Rooney, it's been so long! She's trying out the new half-up topknot hairstyle, with the extra detail of a centre part at the front. The makeup is all about her strong, straight brows, with well-defined lashes and sculpted lids.

Angelique Cabral

People with warm skin tones like Angelique here, you really need to try out this colour lipstick! Because the contrast between the warm gold and cool pink is making my life. Her freckles, too. Now, if only we could do a little somethin'-somethin' with the eyebrows....

Nina Agdal

Nina's hair is another example of great sombré (soft Ombré), plus the new air-dried texture that is so hot right now. (Of course, being a model makes it much easier to pull off without looking like you made no effort.) Being the less-is-more advocate that I am, I like how she went with bare-ish skin, natural brows, upper lash mascara only and a peachy-nude lipstick.

Emily Wickersham

You know what looks awesome? Dark brows with light hair. Emily is my newest example, and offers up a very nice, understated daytime beauty idea: bit of texture through her hair, chunky lashes, a kiss of blush and a clear lip gloss. I think the dark brows and blunt ends of her lob help to keep everything looking groomed.

Charli XCX

The Billboard Music Awards were also this week, so I have a few favourite picks from that red carpet, including Charli—who looked cool and glam in red lips, smoky taupe eyes and wild hair.

Zendaya

Another good one from Billboard was Zendaya, who ditched the gimmicky wigs and went with a happy ponytail with a wet-look front for extra edge. I don't love the bottom lip liner (or the lashes), but the makeup is relatively low-key.

Kendall Jenner

Final look of the week is Kendall, also at the Billboard Awards, who is just so very pretty here. Matte, pale, cool pink lips contrast against her flawless warm skin (again, see how great that looks?) and she manages to pull off a tricky bouffant wet hairstyle.
