Butt Contouring is a Thing

Butt contouring

The contouring craze has gone south (literally).

And you thought contouring your face was scary. Now, there's a procedure known as as the "Scoop Lift" that gives a more permanently sculpted look... to your rear end. It involves harvesting fat from your lower back and flank area through liposuction, and then injecting it into the butt and hips, Kim Kardashian-style. Unlike traditional lipo, which is used as a solution for health issues linked to obesity, the procedure can be done by even thin people without much fat—as long as you've got a spare $10,000. {Byrdie}

People Are Getting Scalp Botox

Scalp Botox

Botox would make this blowout last even longer.

There's a new way to extend the life of your hairstyle, and it doesn't involve dry shampoo. Some women in NYC are getting Botox injected in their scalps to stop the excessive sweating that can ruin a great blowout. It takes about 150 to 200 jabs to cover the entire scalp, and costs up to $1,500, but results last for six to 12 months. {Harper's Bazaar}

Coming Soon: Rubber Masks

Rubber masks

This looks strangely satisfying.

Move over, sheet masks. Rubber masks are the latest Korean beauty import about to take off in North America, and they're like peel-off masks, but better. They come in powder form and need to be mixed with water to be applied. On your skin, thanks to an ingredient called alginate, the mask transforms into a rubbery texture that adheres to (and delivers nutrients to) every crevice. {xoVain}

Beauty at the Playboy Mansion

Down the Rabbit Hole by Holly Madison

Beauty has a narrow definition at the Playboy Mansion.

Ex-Playboy Bunny and 'Girls Next Door' star Holly Madison is telling all in her new book about life inside the Playboy Mansion. Among the beauty revelations: long, white-blonde hair was definitely encouraged, and Hugh Hefner paid for plastic surgery "if someone wanted it." {Allure}
