Tove Lo, Demi Lovato and more.

This year's Grammy Awards, held in Los Angeles on Monday night, delivered plenty of beauty eye candy. From Tove Lo's bold eyeshadow (and nose ring) to Lady Gaga's and Zendaya's David Bowie beauty tributes, there's lots to discuss on this red carpet.

Let's dive in:

Tove Lo

What I love: Have a rust-coloured cat eye and statement septum ring ever looked so COOL? Tove is my favourite by a mile. The way she's wearing this dramatic eye makeup is so modern and runway-inspired—it's just perfect with her fresh skin and hair in a tight, hair-wrapped high ponytail. Obviously, it helps that her complexion is so flawless and that she has such nice natural brows! What I'd change: Just blending that bottom lip liner, but no biggie. These false lashes are actually nice!

Tove is wearing: Foundation // Concealer // Contour and highlighter // Blush in 500 // Highlighter // Eyeshadow in 8 Red // Eyeshadow in Let's Roll // Eyeliner in 2 Brown // False lashes // Brow pencil in Taupe // Brow pomade in 2 // Lip liner in 1C Nude Beige // Lipstick in Nude Kate

Demi Lovato

What I love: Demi has such amazingly healthy-looking skin. Even though her styling is never quite my personal taste, her beautiful glow and freckles make this another favourite for me. Her teeth look incredibly white, eye makeup is nicely toned-down, and weirdly, I can also live with these false lashes. What I'd change: I'm not into such precise brows (although they're waaay better than most we see on red carpets) or the glitter all over her chest. I also notice she has extensions now—but the solid jet-black hue is so harsh.

Demi is wearing: Foundation (mixed with face oil) // Concealer // Concealer and highlighter // Contour // Illuminator in So Hollywood // Blush // Brow powder in Taupe // Eyeshadow in Joy Toy // Eyeliner in Black // Mascara // Lip gloss in Gold Digger

Chrissy Teigen

What I love: Oh look, something surprisingly toned-down for Chrissy—compare and contrast to this or even this! I like these plummy-brown neutrals on her warm skin and with the white dress; she also looks great with her hair off her face. What I'd change: Am I hallucinating or did she get lip injections?!

Chrissy is wearing: Foundation/highlighter in 5.5, 07 and 08 // Foundation in 4.0 and 5.25 // Concealer in Camée // Contour in Bronze Trio // Powder in Translucent // Blush in Natural // Blush in Love Glow // Eyeshadow in Nude Eyes // Eyeliner in Black // Eyeliner in Espresso // Mascara in Rich Pitch Black // Lip liner in Cashew // Lipstick in Sable Smoke // Lip gloss in Bare Blush

Adele

What I love: As per her recent Before & After, this new lob haircut is everything. Welcome to 2016, Adele! I like her colour as well, and the (somewhat) lighter hand on the makeup. I think it's cool that she always keeps her signature black cat eyes; they're much fresher now with the sheer rosy lips. What I'd change: Too much blush was my first thought, and then I realized her brows are probably a bit too intense as well. I never like her choice of false lashes... these ones are so spindly.

Adele is wearing: Foundation // Concealer // Powder in Translucent // Contour in Light // Blush in 300 // Eyeliner in 1 Black // Mascara in Black // Brow pomade in 04 Medium Brown // Eyeshadow in Auda[city] in Paris // Lip gloss in Bare Attraction

Ciara

What I love: If Ciara is inching back to her Grammys 2014 hairstyle—all-over blonde and tons of softness around the face—then I am ALL in favour. Dark hair doesn't have quite the same star power as the blonde, in my opinion. Her skin looks really good, and I love the pale lips with a subtle sheen. What I'd change: Brows could use a bit more brushing/filling, and I think she could do better on the eye makeup.

Bella Hadid

What I love: I have to say, it's impressive how quickly Bella developed a signature look—and she really does not stray from it. Her hair is always severe, never beachy or tousled, and makeup is some variation on neutrals. I love the way it shows off her unique eye colour and intense stare. What I'd change: I like a softer brow on her (like this one), with a very slightly lighter hair shade to go with it. We've talked about her lip injections before...

Bella is wearing: Foundation // Contour and highlighter // Blush in 01 Tangerine Tease // Eyeshadow in Liberatus // Eyeshadow in Hawaiian Beach // Eyeshadow in Thunderstruck (as highlighter) // Eyeliner in Trooper // Mascara // False lashes in Plume // Lip liner in 01 The Nudest // Lip gloss in 09 Iced Coffee

Taylor Swift

What I love: While strongly disliked her skirt/tube top/choker combo, I suppose I'm in favour of Taylor's new chin-length bob. It's a definite improvement over her former helmet hair and that weird side-swept style, am I right? Plus, I always did love her with straight-across bangs—her very best hair look was this 2012 cut, if you ask me. So I'd rather this than hair that's trying too hard to be sexy, you know? Because we all know sexy does NOT work on Taylor. What I'd change: Well, the whole colour-blocking thing has already been done to death in fashion, so not sure why it also crept up to the makeup. The red lips and shimmery purple shadow are just way too matchy to her outfit, and not sophisticated at all.

Selena Gomez

What I love: If I just squint at the first pic of Selena, I suppose she does look really good for the stage. I love the navy sequins and the neckline of her dress; I also prefer her hair soft and wavy like this, instead of in a straightened, wannabe Adriana Lima style. What I'd change: You're thinking it; I'm thinking it. Good grief, this is a lot of contour! Her foundation looks too light and the contour powder too dark and chiseled, taking attention away from where it should be—on her pretty eyes and smile. I get what she was going for with the graphic shadow shape, but it needed fresh skin, toned-down lashes and a bare mouth. Too much of everything all around!

Selena is wearing: BB cream in Medium // Lipstick in Nile Nude

Meghan Trainor

What I love: What is happening, Meghan looks way better than Selena?!? I never thought I'd see the day, but I am SO impressed. Here's a reminder of how far we've come, from scraggly long bleached-out blonde to this new, soft, sophisticated red. Also, note the eyelashes—much better! What I'd change: I am at a loss for words here... maybe just the lip liner blending, but that's pretty much it. Talk about a transformation!

Janelle Monáe

What I love: If you can get past the distracting costumey details, the beauty showstoppers here are Janelle's flawless skin, glossy lips and full brows. (How are her arches this thick?!) I also really like the black liner in her lower waterlines and that her makeup in general looks really natural and lived-in. What I'd change: The lashes are a no-go for me (obviously). And I'd love to see her wear her natural hair texture out...

Anna Kendrick

What I love: Anna's got some great texture going on through the top of her hair. I love how seamless her blush is, and the slightly sooty/smudgy eye makeup is a neat contrast against her delicate colouring. What I'd change: I feel like she could have toughened up this predictable half-up hairstyle with some edgier earrings. Also, her eyeliner flicks don't match 100 percent, and her lipstick is either worn off or she didn't blend her lip liner.

Alessandra Ambrosio

What I love: I'm so glad Alessandra did a different take on the smoky eye, opting for smouldering blues instead of the usual blacks, browns and greys. The application is interesting as well; it dips down from brows to tear ducts in a lighter colour, and the smokiness extends all along the lower lashes. Looks great with the soft mouth and sleek hair. What I'd change: The brow pencil isn't quite a match (and the filling a bit too noticeable). Also not sure if the earrings and choker are over-accessorizing? There is a lot going on!

Tori Kelly

What I love: This pink lip colour is so pretty. I also like the way Tori did her eye makeup. Her lids are softly sculpted, with a focus on the lashes—it reminds me a bit of the signature Kardashian eye, but not so over-the-top! What I'd change: This seems too glam/old Hollywood for a music industry event. The use of pink might be part of the problem. I feel like nudes, golds or even peaches would go better with Tori's skin tone and give her a more sophisticated vibe. Her partially gelled curls have me thinking she would look incredible in a tan with all her hair gelled back, as if she just stepped off the beach. Can you picture it?

Ellie Goulding

What I love: Perhaps "love" is too strong a word, but Ellie's eye makeup looks pretty nice this time (no real false lash offenses). And she did a good job with her skin and blush. What I'd change: Time to ease up on the lip injections, Ellie! It's becoming a real problem. Her brow game needs work and I'm not feeling the wind-swept hairstyle. Too feathery; not enough weight to it for the flip.

Madison Beer

What I love: Clearly, Madison is a very pretty girl with amazing natural features, like her smile (I love rounded teeth like hers!) and full, dark brows. What I'd change: This reminds me of a little girl playing dress-up. Not sure if she has extensions or if her hair is just styled to look that way, but brushing out those curling iron waves would be an easy fix. She doesn't need the false lashes AT ALL. Also, if you're gonna try over-lining, your pencil shouldn't be this light.

Carrie Underwood

What I love: Carrie looks better, right? It's the shorter hair (and off-the-face style) that's giving her a fresher look this time, even if the makeup is the same heavy-handed business as always. Baby steps! What I'd change: Lashes and brows! But you knew I'd say that. Some things never change...

Kacey Musgraves

What I love: Kacey is the one who used to style herself in beehives, pink lipstick and false lashes that were straight out of the 1960s, like this. Thankfully, she stayed in the 2000s here, so it's already progress! Who knew she had such nice skin? What I'd change: This is a difficult lip colour and let's face it, not really that flattering. Especially considering the precision of her brows. If she grew in a softer shape and didn't fill them in so harshly, it would make a huge difference with the purple lips—that and ditching the falsies. It's all about balance, know what I mean? The ponytail is fine, but a little cheerleader-ish.

Zendaya

Zendaya, Grammy Awards 2016

What I love: Okay, so Zendaya was channelling David Bowie, which is a nice thing to do. What I'd change: The hair is what it is. But oh man, her makeup is extra mask-like this time! My beauty goals are always the complete opposite—to look like I'm not wearing anything—so this does not compute.

Zendaya is wearing: Foundation // Bronzer // Blush // Eyeshadow in Nudes // Eyeliner in Intense Black // Mascara // Lip balm in Caramel // Lip gloss in Caramel Cream

Kaley Cuoco

What I love: Kaley looks way more polished than she did at the Globes, so that's something. I feel like soft makeup is the best on her, so I'm happy with her eyes here and the pink lip colour (if not the texture/lip liner). What I'd change: I feel like I'm always harping on brows, but they are SO important. I was compelled to Google Image Search her brows after seeing this pic. Did you know they didn't always have this tadpole shape? I've said it before: if she can't grow them back at this point, then at least fill in their tails. Also, this blonde is washing her out. I would consider going darker through her lengths so it's not such a contrast with the re-growth.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande, Grammy Awards 2016

What I love: Am I bad person if I can't find anything here to love? Okay, maybe her brows; they're actually fine... just ashy. What I'd change: Enough with the "sexy baby" thing, Ariana! I am so tired of her signature high ponytail, when will it stop?! The makeup is also terribly heavy, as usual, with tons of black and brown eyeshadow and humongous false lashes. Of course, she had to go for the over-lining trend as well!

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, Grammy Awards 2016

What I love: I saved the most cray for last, but you know what? Gaga does cray with STYLE. Her bright blue, bedazzled lids are straight off the Christian Dior Spring 2013 runway (one of my favourite fashion show beauty looks ever!). And her wig is so much better than Zendaya's. What I'd change: Unlike most red carpet looks, this is pure fantasy beauty—not meant to enhance features or look "sexy" in the slightest. So I'm good with it!

Lady Gaga is wearing: Concealer in 01 Bavarian Cream // Foundation in 05 Light Porcelain // Powder in 05 Porcelain // Contour in 26 Tranquil // Blush in 04 Love At First Sight // Highlighter in 01 Stardust // Eyeliner in 29 My Boyfriend’s Jeans // Eyeliner in 24 Surfer Babe // Eyeliner in 05 Navy Baby // Mascara in Ultra Black // Swarovski Crystal embellishments // Lip liner in 1 Bright Coral // Lipstick in No. 28 Just Married // Lip gloss in 07 You Fancy
