15 inspiring beauty looks

Brunette beauties steal the show in this week's batch of inspirational beauty looks! If you're anything like me, you'll be going gaga over the soft waves, glowy skin and fresh bursts of colour.

Lily James

What I love: Lily's textured, tousled waves and medium-pink lipstick. I just love brunettes in this shade! Her naturally sun-kissed highlights are amazing, too. Everything else is on point, from her feathery brows and fresh skin to the natural lashes and subtle eyeshadow. What I'd change: Nothing.

Leighton Meester

What I like: Leighton's vibrant orangey-red lipstick, contrasted against her luminous skin and barely-there blush. The eyes are clean, with just a hint of icy shadow and natural-looking lashes (note how the lower ones are bare). While I'll always prefer Leighton as a brunette, this warm blonde was executed well. What I'd change: Nothing.

Camilla Belle

What I like: Camilla's incredibly even, creamy skin and thick but groomed brows. What a stunning woman... wow! I usually dislike false lashes, but they're fairly tasteful here, with black liner on the upper lash lines and a hint of gold underneath. I love the slight iridescence of her pink lipstick, and the smooth blowout looks very glam. What I'd change: Nothing.

Léa Seydoux

What I like: Léa's effortless, "French girl" beauty. Her flawless skin is the ultimate canvas for a brick-red lip stain and mascara—I'm not sure she's wearing much else! Her brows look bare (but perfect), and that highlight on her cheek seems completely natural, not sparkly. I love the air-dried texture of her blonde lob. What I'd change: Nothing.

Mandy Moore

What I like: Mandy's fuchsia lipstick and darkened brows. Isn't it refreshing to see more pink, instead of the nudes that have been so dominant lately? The updo with face-framing Ombré pieces gives it such a playful feeling. What I'd change: I'd flatten the crown for a more modern look.

Janina Gavankar

What I like: Janina's sheer, bright pink gloss and flirty cat eyes. (She has such a good eye shape for this makeup technique!) I'm glad she left her lids neutral and her skin apparently foundation-free. Her hair looks so healthy! What I'd change: Nothing.

Emma Watson

What I like: Emma's negative space eyeliner, chunky lashes and brushed-up brows. This is a great example of creative makeup that still looks fresh! We can see her cute freckles, and the coral-red lip is lovely and soft. Her updo is all messy and braided, adorned with little gold birds. What I'd change: Nothing—but what a shame her team didn't catch the lipstick on her teeth before she started posing!

Emma is wearing: Blush in Frivole // Eyeliner in Black/Brown // Lipstick in Papaya (on lips and cheeks)

Hailey Baldwin

What I like: Hailey's glowy skin, with matching muted pinks on her lids and lips. Happily, the lashes are toned down and so are the brows. I like how the tight, high ponytail keeps the focus on her great complexion and nude makeup palette. What I'd change: The filler in her upper lip just doesn't look natural.

Kiernan Shipka

What I like: Kiernan's gorgeous fluffy lashes. This is the kind of softness I love to see! Her skin is insane, as usual, but let's keep in mind that she is only 17. The light makeup, side part and ponytail make this look very clean and age-appropriate. What I'd change: Nothing.

Barbara Palvin

What I like: Barbara's red lipstick—and how much it makes her blue eyes pop! This is yet another example of a bare eye, with just mascara and super-sheer shadow. (Could the false lash trend be on the wane? I can only hope!) I'm bringing this pic to my next brow appointment; I love that the edges of her arches are soft, not angular. What I'd change: Nothing.

Ellie Bamber

What I like: Ellie's air-dried red waves with peachy-pink lipstick and blush. This is another amazing hair and makeup colour combo! Her skin is beautiful, and she did a nice job on the brows (not too red, with excellent texture). What I'd change: I only wish she left off the heavy lashes. With a lighter touch there, the gold inner corners could've worked.

Robyn Lawley

What I like: Robyn's healthy, ash-toned hair. It's so rare to see this colour in its natural glory, as so many women (including myself!) just lighten it to blonde. I was told by celebrity hairstylist Danilo that Robyn has the best and thickest head of hair he's ever seen. Her brows also look un-touched, and I like the "your lips, only better" gloss. What I'd change: I'm not crazy about the lashes, although they're not too bad. I think her foundation or powder is slightly too warm.

Sienna Miller

What I like: Sienna's centre-parted blonde waves and natural makeup. Less is always more on her. She did her usual lash-hugging liner with a sheer foundation that lets her freckles peek through. Lately, she has been favouring a matte, neutral lip. What I'd change: I'm so disappointed that Sienna has hopped on the injections wagon—those wonky lumps in her upper lip are not good!

Bella Hadid

What I like: Bella's chunky upper lashes, brushed-up brows and sprinkling of freckles. The rosy terracotta lipstick is a new way to do neutrals, and she's back to her favourite sleek updo. What I'd change: Her upper lip is overly inflated.

Kristen Stewart

What I like: Kristen's smoky, sooty charcoal shadow. Even if you can't get behind her blonde buzz cut, I think we can all agree that she wears dramatic eye makeup like nobody else. I'm glad she kept her brows dark and lips light. What I'd change: I'm all for short hair, but I much prefer Kristen as a brunette, with a versatile long bang. Still thinking about this look with the glasses!
