Celebs hit the red carpet again on Sunday, June 3rd for the MTV Movie Awards, with winners of the highly covetable popcorn trophy decided on by the general public. Well, LET’S decide on who wins for beauty—I say Jessica, Charlize and the Emmas. You? (PS: Watch out for a surprise return of the Hilton sisters. Eeks!)

Can’t click through the gallery?!
you don’t explain each of the looks anymore?
Michelle without your comments it’s not the same
Your comments are missed indeed, as Ninon said, and it’s kinda annoying not to have at least the name of the celebrity (or pseudo-celebrity in some cases) we’re looking at through the gallery?! A cool format would be to get a short comment on each photo as you go through the gallery.. but AT LEAST the name of the person!
Patsy – name of the celebrity is on there for me? Not sure if it’s a problem with your browser?
Also Michelle, as others have said, it’s just not the same without your comments. I mean, thats why we read your blog – for YOU! I can go on any website and chek out the photos. Please bring back the comments!
nooooo! no more commentary and dissecting each beauty look?? no more categorizing the good, the bad, the ugly? just pictures? not the same
the new site looks awesome, but we want the same thing we were getting…it’s also a little disappointing that the pictures are no longer big; part of the fun of looking at your website, as opposed to just googling pictures, was the up-close shots and the commentary. this feels the same as just googling mtv awards and clicking through pictures
not trying to be a debby downer, because, again, the new layout looks great, but please please bring back what we were accustomed to!
Julianne Hough looks like Meg Ryan.
Guys! I WILL – this is a separate section to get the pics up quickly so you see them without having to wait for my blog tomorrow.
@Katsy – you can see the name of each celeb at the bottom of the black box (where it says “Celeb: xxx” – that changes with every pic)
@Emily – sorry you are having trouble… what browser are you using? Have you tried clearing the cache?
Beyond dissapointed with the new website. I just loooooved how it use to be….if it ain’t broke…don’t fix it….right? I keep getting the “error on page” message anytime I try to click on the latest blog news or just look through the gallery. At first I thought it might be my laptop (it is a little ancient ) or possibly slow internet connection but then I tried my work laptop which is top of the line and it just didn’t get any better. It’s so stinking annoying trying to just browse through the blog now. I would be so devasted if I had to look for something else when this is my got to beauty blong. I really hope someone notices this “makeover” gone bad and gets to fixing it.
Love,
Hoping for Improvement
Hi JR, thanks for the feedback and I’m sorry you’re disappointed. Not sure if you read this post: http://beautyeditor.ca/2012/05/26/zomg-weve-had-a-facelift/ but as I mentioned at the end there are still a few technical kinks we’re trying to work out. (These were not anticipated until the new design got switched over – that’s why you’re seeing error messages, it’s a server issue.) I’m working frantically behind the scenes to get everything running smoothly again as quickly as possible, but as I’m a one-woman show it’s going to take a few days. Hope you can understand and thanks for your patience!
It would be so much easier if there were a possibility for us to comment on each celeb immediately below each pic, it’s hard to remember the thousand things that rush through the head when seeing so many faces, I forget what & who all the time like that.
I like Kristen’s makeup actually
And also Christina’s!
I’m loving Kristen’s look – both hair and makeup!
Yeah..missing the old format. Large photos & commentary like others said
Hi Liz, you can still find the large photos and commentary in my personal blog, which in the “Editor’s Blog” section – that is not changing at all!
However, the site is expanding from not just a blog but a bunch of other features including how-tos, product listings, videos, and yes, these galleries. They are simply meant to be for visual inspiration, not commentary.
Hope that helps!
