More ombré hair—this time, on Aussie actress Isabel Lucas (ex-girlfriend of Adrian Grenier). This look is more deliberate and high-contrast than Rose Byrne‘s more subtle take. And Rose is Australian too, funnily enough…
There’s a whole Bohemian vibe to this that I like—centre-parted, casually pulled-back, not super-straight—although I’m not sure it’s fancy enough for the Globes. Not that it’s really possible to make Isabel look bad—she’s gorgeous.

I preferred Olivia Wilde‘s makeup at the People’s Choice Awards (less eye makeup, more strawberry lip), but her hair is killing it here. This is the ponytail of my dreams: high up on the head, cheerleader-style, and with gorgeously bouncy curls. No doubt this was achieved with extensions—which I’m normally against—but I think this works. It’s a more youthful alternative to the updo.
Makeup is a bit OTT, unfortunately. I would have gone with a more neutral shade on the lip—this sort of clashes with the eye makeup—or instead, done less purple on the eyes.

Here’s a great example of how to wear a sparkly hair clip, modelled by Damages star Rose Byrne. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was overkill (her dress, if you didn’t see it, has a similar diamond embellishment at the waist). But I’m going to give it a pass, mostly because it’s just so divinely girly—my inner four-year-old is loving this hair.
(Also notice that her highlights start several inches down the hair shaft—a modified take on the whole ombré trend we’re seeing on celebs like Alexa Chung lately.)
My one wish: a tad less blush. Otherwise, good job on the subtle cat eyes and great colour on the lips.
