Adriana Lima

Adriana Lima kiss

Poor Valentine’s Day. When it comes to holidays, this one kinda gets the shaft. Sure, there are some who L-O-V-E love it (many of them under age six, mind you). But just as many peeps either put so much pressure on V-day that it determines their entire state of mental health for the month of February… or simply refuse to celebrate and ignore it altogether.

I say boo. Whether you’re single, taken, or in that iffy no man’s land in between, there’s nothing wrong with giving yourself some beauty love today, AMIRITE? (Yeah, you got me: I’m going to beauty-hijack this holiday.) Here are 10 moves to make—and a whole bunch of new prodz to heart. Keep reading »

Miranda Kerr - Victoria's Secret 2011 Fashion Show viewing party

We already know what Adriana Lima did to prep for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, which aired last night. (A hint, if you missed this post: it involved no solid foods for nine days before the show, and then no liquids at all during the final 12 hours.) One lead manicurist (Mila Yagoudaief). And finally, four manicurists.

That’s to prep 38 models… but still. Just imagine what WE could look like if we had that kind of help in the mornings. If you’re wondering how, exactly, they do it, here’s the scoop… Keep reading »

Drew Barrymore hair

Just when we were ready to put Ombré to bed, Drew Barrymore has gone and resurrected it. I’m not sure how I feel about this because as you know, I said it was over months ago (when I ditched my blah brown Ombré for a strawberry blonde-tastic double-process ‘do). Maybe I need to reconsider.

And that’s not all that’s happening in beauty this week. Movember is in full force, the Country Music Awards happened, Adriana Lima revealed how she gets in shape for a Victoria’s Secret fashion show, Gwyneth Paltrow has a makeup tutorial… and I decided there ARE some exceptions to my anti-nail art stance. Let’s discuss! Keep reading »
