Why is it that beauty waiting lists always seem to emerge from the UK? The latest buzz is for StriVectin’s new Overnight Facial Resurfacing Serum, which according to the Telegraph has waiting lists across the country.
I’m not sure what the situation is here in Canada—it’s been out for a few months now—but now that it’s officially entered cult product status, I’d recommend getting your hot little hands on a bottle stat!
The deal with this product is that it’s like “sleep in a bottle”—you use it under your regular night cream every night and it removes dull skin, diminishes pores and wrinkles, brightens your skin tone and improves luminosity. Not bad huh? AND it’s suitable for all skin types and won’t irritate.
Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Osbourne and Kylie Minogue are all rumoured to be fans. And for what it’s worth, my mom is also raving about this. I let her give my sample a test drive and she says her skin has never felt so smooth. Now I think I’ll need to get that sample back!

RoC pretty much dominates the retinol category at the drugstore level—retinol being the weaker, over-the-counter version of tretinoin (Retin-A). Every derm I speak to still considers retinoids to be the gold standard in anti-aging, so if you can’t tolerate prescription versions, RoC’s new line, Retin-Ox Wrinkle Correction, could be a good option.
Besides the retinol—which as you may know, accelerates skin cell turnover and stimulates collagen and elastin production—it contains two other anti-aging powerhouse ingredients: hyaluronic acid, which holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water and helps plump skin from within, and peptides (the newest darlings of the anti-aging world), which stimulate collagen production and repair.
