ZOMG! Awards season has started up again… where does time go? I have to say, I’ve been missing these celebrity mugs lately, especially my girl Emma. And at the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night, she did NOT disappoint. Girl wore a suit! And her hair all casual. I kinda love her for that. I mean, just wait ’til you see Demi Lovato and you will know *exactly* what I mean.

Big news out of last night’s VMAs, peoples: Beyoncé is a baby mama-to-be! Which totally explains why I’m detecting even more glowiness to her skin than usual. Between that and her rad side-pony and the bright orange Lanvin dress, there’s no question she stole the show.
And you know who is probably not happy about it? Katy Perry. Ever since photos leaked of her new hair colour—which her colourist, Rita Hazan, confirmed to be lavender, not pink—I’ve been waiting for a proper reveal instead of that scraped-back bun we saw with the backdrop of a gas station. And now it has arrived, and I’m disappointed. The contrast of Beyoncé looking all kinds of gorgeous doesn’t help.

So thanks to hyper-hair-colour-aware commenter Thomas, I was alerted yesterday to some breaking news (which I’m sure you’re all aware of by now… unless you actually have a life that doesn’t revolve around the superficial, in which case, I commend you). What I’m talking about is Katy Perry’s new hair colour—it’s pink! (Thomas predicted this, in fact, which means he is a lot smarter than me. Or just psychic.) Anyway, I was wrong. I totally thought she was going blonde. So I suppose I understand now why she was making such a big deal about it on Twitter.
Meanwhile, it looks like that long, pointy fingernail trend that we saw a long time ago on the runways of Milan has truly, finally reached the masses, seeing as teen queen Demi Lovato (I know… Demi who?) was sporting it the other day. In a bright, yellowy gold. (At least it wasn’t yellow yellow— y’all know how I feel about that colour.)
