What would I do without all the men in my life? I have this guy and this guy and this guy… and now, the newest member of the team, this guy. I like to call him Trainer George. And basically, I pay him to force me to work out—because left to my own devices, I’m a lazy b*tch who’d sell her soul to Miss Vickie’s for a lifetime supply of salt and vinegar chips.

So George helps with that. He and I have logged a lot of “quality time” together over the past couple of months… even though I sometimes hate him (like when he makes me do these awful things called side crawls). Anyway! But OMG, this was intervention-level stuff. Think goopy red lips, extreme amounts of bronzer, theatrical eyeshadow. (And this was an after-work bar. Imagine what happens when they’re not coming from the office?!?)

So I think it’s time I used this blog—my platform, as it were—for the greater good. We need to talk about this, because I do believe I’ve been an enabler for far too long. Keep reading »

Vera Wang - FW12 makeup

Even though I’m more of a single-serving makeup kind of girl, there’s something about a pretty palette that makes me swoon. But it’s not just their obvious cuteness that gets me. I look at their expertly coordinating shades, all organized in neat little rows, and imagine that using them will make my life equally organized and therefore better.

It’s the little things.

Anyway, to celebrate spring’s impending arrival (let’s hope!), here my top 10 picks. Most (all?) are limited-edition, so run; don’t walk. Keep reading »
