Freida Pinto

Golden Globes 2012 - Zooey Deschanel

Here we go! It’s your GG beauty coverage—and my goodness, there are a lot of celebs to view and discuss! (Um, 25, to be exact.)

My overall observation? There was a lot more experimentation going on with the hair than the makeup. And of course, as is the case with every awards show, a whole bunch of celebs stuck with the can’t-go-wrong updo and nude makeup combo. It’s boring for beauty editors, but it works.

Anyway, mostly I would like to pay my own tribute to Elizabeth Olsen, who I think has replaced Olivia Wilde, and maybe even Emma Stone before her (!), as the new object of my beauty affection. But let’s take a look at everyone’s hair and makeup choices… Keep reading »

Rachel Mara Spring/Summer 2011 Toronto Fashion Week

Sponsored

Holy hot rollers! I’ve been poking around our Toronto LG Fashion Week Flickr feed—which you may both have a gander at as well as use on your own site—and discovered the most gorgeous, glamorous faux bob hairstyles at the Rachel Mara show last night.

And THEN, in what can only be called beauty synchronicity, I realized that Freida Pinto and Hilary Swank both wore a version of this look at the London Film Festival on Monday night.

I love when that happens, because when celebs wear what’s on the runway, it means we’re dealing with an actual, honest-to-goodness Real Trend. Keep reading »
