Oh, beauty industry. Sometimes I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. You know how creams, lotions, serums, treatments and spa services for Every Imaginable Body Part have pretty much exploded in the past few years? (I always say that if I actually used all the random products out there—like my lip exfoliator, cellulite serum or eyelash conditioner—it would take me at least five hours to even leave the house in the morning.)
Well, clearly the beauty marketers have realized that they were missing one important area in the quest to dominate our bathrooms: our private parts. And I’m not talking about waxing, trimming or shaving away random bikini line strays (although more on that in a second).
I’m talking about vajazzling, which is apparently on the wane, thank God—but only to be replaced by the vattoo. Keep reading »

Okay, I know that “prettify” isn’t really a word.
But… Have you noticed?
Handbags aren’t really the thing anymore. Nails are the new “It” accessory.
Think about it—just within the past 12 months or so, we’ve seen a SERIOUS obsession with a whole rainbow of nail polish shades, from grey to jade to taupe to pale blue. (And I’m sure I’m even missing a few.) I can’t keep up!
Of course, you don’t really have to always be sporting the latest colour trend. What IS important, however, are nails (and hands) that look groomed and gorgeous. Because you can bet people are looking at them now more than ever! (And I guess for that we should be thankful… yes it does require a bit more beauty upkeep but it’s certainly cheaper than a $1,000 purse.)
A few new and very cool hand and nail prodz have landed on my desk lately, so I’ve pulled them together here:

How do YOU keep your hands looking pretty?
Have you gotten on board with the nail colour mania that’s been happening lately?
Or do you long for the days when our colour choices consisted of classic reds and pinks? (I blame you, Hard Candy.)
