Kate Gosselin

Scarlett Johansson Spirit Party 2008

Eeks! Two days in a row of hair colour posts—and slightly shouty ones at that. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to insinuate that you have bad hair, or anything like that. But possibly it could be better.

Wanna know why? Because after more than half a decade of putting myself out there in the name of “research,” I think I may just have found my—wait for it—Life Colour. It’s true! (And if you’re just joining us, you need to get caught up and read the original and epic Life Cut post.)

I only wish I’d made this discovery five years ago. But maybe all the battle scars… er, fried ends and bad photo evidence… will be worth it if I can impart some tips to YOU. Keep reading »

Kate Gosselin Goes Shoulder-Length

Without the help of good lighting, a wind machine and an army of photo-retouching specialists at People magazine, Kate Gosselin‘s hair is, well, not something Ted Gibson should be crowing about. I was willing to give her (and him) the benefit of the doubt when I first saw the extensions on the cover of People last month, but now, I’m sorry to say, Kate is squarely back in Bad Hair Town. Ted lopped off several inches to get this shoulder-length style, but unfortunately it looks like the “haircuts” I used to give my Barbies when I was 7. Sorry Ted—I love you and all, but this isn’t working for me.

AMIRITE? Or is just the pissy expression that seems permanently etched into her face?

I’ve not been kind about reality star Kate Gosselin’s hedgehog-style cut—so nobody is happier than me to see her rocking some long, blonde extensions. Check out her before and after, on the cover of People:

The man behind the look? New York-based celebrity hair guru Ted Gibson (who is apparently now on What Not To Wear…how did I miss that?). It took him 20 hours to sew these puppies in—ouch!
