Oh look! It’s December 22nd and I’m writing about beauty stocking stuffers. It was December 22nd when I wrote about them last year, too. It’s just what I do. (Go on and have a look at last year’s post after you read this one if you still need more ideas.)
Anyway, clearly this post is designed for female recipients… unless less your guy has a thing for sequined shower caps and tinted lip balms. Non? Then yes, socks and lottery tickets are ENTIRELY appropriate, as well as the prodz I talked about in my ode to Harvey Specter yesterday. Otherwise, I promise you’ll surprise and delight any of the women in your life with these beauty editor-approved picks. Or, you know, drop hints for the person that’s stuffing your stocking. (Eeks! Holiday makeup collections are awesome for many reasons. First of all, the packaging is usually WAY prettier than the regular stuff you can buy. So you can totes make everyone swoon when you pull it out of your handbag or when they come over and see it sitting pretty in your bedroom. (OR, if you’re a geeky makeup collector like me, you may put it straight in the “archives” and not actually *cough* use it….)
What? You don’t archive your makeup?
Okay, moving right along. Another reason holiday collections rule is because they usually involve items you might not normally buy (like the body powder I’m going to tell you about in a sec), fun seasonal colours or amazingly well-priced palettes. Then there is the stuff of pure fantasy… like outrageously cool false lashes that could only ever work on New Year’s Eve. So fun, right? Here’s the stuff I suggest you seek out, stat! Keep reading »

Guys! I can’t remember a year when Christmas crept up on me like this. Anyone else feeling this way? I haven’t even STARTED my Christmas shopping, which is why my annual gift guide post(s) have been so tardy. (Apologies to you early birds out there!)
For anyone else who’s still on the hunt, this one’s for you… because even though I’m woefully unprepared for the holidays, at least the beauty companies have us covered with some seriously impressive gift sets. Seriously, they make shopping for any female on your list so much easier than having to scout out individual prodz from a bunch of different beauty counters. Some are so cute that you won’t even have to wrap ‘em! I’ve got 15 options here—at all price points and body parts!—so dig in and get your shop on. Keep reading »
