Could Jessica Chastain's Eyes Look Any Brighter? Here's Why - Beautyeditor
Lush lashes and a bit of shimmer make a big impact.

While I'm not sure how I feel about her new bangs, it's always a pleasure to catch a glimpse of Jessica Chastain on a red carpet. So chic, so elegant, so sophisticated... she's a class act all the way.

At this week's Toronto (and world) premiere of her new film, 'Miss Julie,' she wore a typically understated, pretty makeup look that showed off her flawless complexion and made her eyes sparkle like crazy.

Redheads, take note:

Kristofer Buckle was on makeup duty, and wanted to create a slightly retro, '60s makeup look with a touch of daytime glamour.

Here's the close-up:

Man, even her false eyelashes are classy ones. (I also think it's okay that she doesn't have much brow definition, as that would probably make them compete too much against the bangs and the strong lashes.)

Kristofer used all YSL products, and I scored his exact tips on how to recreate this look!

To start, he perfected her complexion with the new Fusion Ink Foundation in B20 Ivory. This has a similar texture to the Maybelline Dream Wonder I raved about!

Next he applied Kiss & Blush in Pink Hedoniste (another fave of mine, reviewed here) to her lips and cheeks for a soft, transparent pink flush.

To create the soft eye definition, Kristofer used the Couture Palette in Fauves, with the top right shade concentrated at the inner corners.

He also defined the lash line with the Dessin du Regard Waterproof Eye Pencil in Amber Brown.

No mention of the false lashes, but he did also apply plenty of the Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking Mascara in Pure Black on the top lashes only, for a retro touch.

Finally, he filled in her brows with the Eyebrow Pencil for the barest bit of colour.

Such a lovely daytime makeup look for fair skin and red hair!
